Trying to find this useful post but cant need help

I was trying to find this post where this user was all like I don't need the gym. Then he/she said I know people that train in 0 degree weather with a bench and some rocks, they have a killer body?

I wonder who said that I just need to know.

On a side note there what is whey protein exactly do why is it so different from regular protein?

whey protein isn't different that regular protein. its PROTEIN. protein comes from different sources, some better than others.

in general terms, animal protein is better (meat, milk, eggs) because its complete and contains all the essential amino acids your body needs. plant protein isn't complete, so you have to pair up food items to cover all your aminos. A good example is beans & brown rice = a complete protein from non-animal sources.


I'm not into vegetarianism at all, but I wanted to bring it to the table just in case you are.

You don't need whey protein, unless you can't get enough protein from whole foods like chicken, cottage cheese, etc. Thus its called a 'supplement...to supplement your diet if you're not getting enough'.

whole food is primary, whey protein is supplemental. and honestly I'd go with a whey+casein blend.

Or just drink milk. If you're not afraid of a little lactose (sugar). Or allergic.

If you wanna get real fancy, you can get protein supplements that are basically milk minus the lactose (same amino acid profile). Milk is a lot easier to swallow, though, for most people. But also not a great idea before bed, for most people. At that time you can simply sub in cottage or full-fat (I like extra old cheddar) cheese, paired with some almonds or some other quality source of fat.

Or maybe even make yourself a salmon burger, melt the cheddar on that bitch, eat with almonds and some green veggies. Mmm, yeah. Sorry, I guess I'm hungry.

I can name several people on this forum who I can see saying something like that... but I'm not sure how seriously I would take a statement like that from them ;)
