Help! A proper form of Power clean?

can someone please tell me the proper form for the power clean beacuse it really hurts my low back . anyone know why?

Unsupervised power cleans are a good way to injure yourself, badly. Get some in-gym supervision, even if it just means asking one of the resident meatheads.
 
Im pretty good at powerclean compared to some of the other guys i know. Form is what its all about. Dont lift it entirely with your back. You gotta kind of jump with it. Its a lot easier to demonstrate than explain lol. I guess kind of pop it up to where you have to stand up with it. Not necessarily lift it up to the finishing position because then your just using your arms and back.
 
Until you can actually get a coach to check your form, you won't get it down. Check out your local university and seek out the strength coach for teh football team, if they're worth anything-they'll be able to teach you to clean.

But here's a cool site that does show you the form on the clean and a lot of other exercises.


You might start with the pull low and work up to the pull high and then progress to the clean.
 
Good lord the form on that site sucks terribly. Honestly. I am shocked. Don't use that as a reference, please. I will search my bookmarks for a better link and post it.
 
Jean-Paul, I'll agree that he wasn't nearly as explosive as he should've been and that the bar speed was a bit slow. But the mechanics looked, for the most part, okay to me. I'm curious as to what you see in that looks so terrible? The bar stays close to his body and he shrugs up which from my experience is where most people have their problems.

I think if he had a bit more hop and arched back a bit more the form would be a lot better. I noticed upon further review that he's lacking in the high elbow department but he's also not performing a full clean and going into a jerk but perhaps you're seeing something I'm not.

:pI would just like to agree with anyone who said that you should have a professional help you with form when performing any kind of power lifting. It can be extremely dangerous for the fitness newbie. It took me a while to get my form for cleans down and I worked with some of the best! It's not worth getting injured over especially for those of us who love fitness-injuries are the most frustrating!
