My shoulder is still in bad shape... what do you think is wrong?

I feel your pain man. I have been working around bad shoulders for a few years now. Doc says its tendenitis but i have kind of had a mental block that tells me its something worse and I fear major damage. I have recently started a program from t-nation that seems to be helping. I have basicly built my program around this shoulder workout so I can get them back into shape. Check it out

Damn, sorry to hear of this rws. Thats a real bummer.

I'm also freakin because OHP is one of my favorite lifts, didn't really know it was hard on the rotator cuffs which I have heard can be an achilles heel spot...

I think the bench press is a lot harder on the shoulder than an overhead press...

My shoulder is getting better BTW guys, I did DB bench and some overhead presses pain free today, lateral raises are the only thing that really hurts now... celebrate!:beerchug:

So you're doing the same stuff? Whyd we even have this discussion.

nope, there's a huge difference between DB bench and BB bench.. i'm staying away from the BB bench for a while.

I think shoulder presses are fine.. they haven't ever caused me any problems, it's always been the bench press.

Plus I learned a lot about shoulder exercises and etc. in this thread so that's why we had this discussion!

Tell me, whats the difference?

dumbells can be easier on the shoulders. Gotta stabalize with dumbells more, one side can't compensate for a weaker etc.... you know all this. I don't know what your trying to do.

Are you mad about my pushup comment or something?

I didn't mean disrespect by it, I just won't ditch all shoulder and chest exercises for pushups (a bodyweight exercise..) where I can't progressively load weight and that doesn't work the shoulders much IMO.

I have heard cuban rotations listed as an exercise for this but I can't find a video of that anywhere... anyone have one? Or can you describe the exercise to me?

Having similar problems with the shoulders, I started doing cuban presses a week ago, here's how you do them:
