waste product of burning fat

When your body uses your fat deposits (during a "cut") is there a waste product from burning these stores? I would imagine it would come out mostly thru body heat and sweat?

I too am no expert....but like Karky I keep my ears & eyes to the flow of information. Here's what I can offer as part of my understanding:

Fat is the body's means of storing energy. When you eat and the body determines there is an excess of blood-sugar, the pancreas releases insulin and the insulin acts to usher the glucose into the fat cells for storage. Fat stores energy. I suppose other substances could be stored in fat cells as well...and we've all heard about some of the freaky people from the 60's experiencing strange narcotic episodes based on some of their pre-use drugs being stored and then unexpectedly released later....but that's probably just a wives-tale.

Bottom line, the fat stores energy......little more. What I have heard is that when you're burning a lot of fat you may see a cloudiness to your urine and that's part of the byproduct of fat metabolizing & releasing energy. Wish I could offer more, but that's about all I can think of.

someone might have said it but their will be ketone bodies in your blood and urine and you can by ketone testers in the store (like pH strips) I the only reason I wouldnt base weigh loss on color you cloudiness is because certain foods can cuase the same type of urine output (ketone testers are the best way to go I think)

Based on my rather basic collegiate studies of bio 101-102 ... when we SHRINK fat cells the fatty acids are released into the bloodstream. Not so many byproducts as the fat cell does not actually get destroyed. By burning fat we are just making the cells, that still reside on top of the muscle layer, to negligible levels.

I'm not interested in monitoring my Ketone, I was asking because I've been losing good weight, but have had very nice amounts of diarrhea... if you needed to know :yelrotflmao:

Since I have cut back calories, been eating better and increased cardio, my pee smells wierd. I wasn't going to say anything, but someone chimed in about their bowel movements...

I've heard stories that dieting people might start releasing some really gnarly smells but I don't know of any science that would back it up.

That's actually more a result of a higher protein intake than anything else... and so long as your friends and family can tolerate the stinky, there's nothing wrong with that. :)

When you burn fat, you require oxygen. And, burning fat results in basically 3 things - ' energy ' ( something called ATP ) carbon dioxide, and water.

The ' energy ' ( via heat ) and water is removed from your body by sweating.

Carbon dioxide is simply removed in your breath by breathing.

Thanks wrangell! thats kinda what I figured, so I won't be pooing out any waste from my fat loss, I probably am just eating too many Jalapenos.

This hasn't happened to me (yet?) but after reading some of these replies...

I'm in class 20 hours a week. I don't want to be stinking up the room. >:[
