ruitine

Hello, I have been working out for a couple of months now. I don't know much about lifting but I have been getting more and more into it. I'm now looking into workout out more, four times a week is what i'm planning. I'm 19, 170lbs, 5"10'... I eat real well, have tons of energy, and I'm ready to go at it hard. Can someone please help me out and post a ruitine that would optimize my time? Thank you!

What are your goals? Trying to gain muscle or burn fat? Are you an athlete, looking into bodybuilding, powerlifter for strength?

I consider myself an athlete but i'm not a professional or anything like that. Also, I'm in the field of plumbing so I want to be strong so I can do the hard work with ease, and have stamina to last throughout the day. I want to lose my gut so i feel more comfortable bending over so ive been doing lots of ab excercises. So basically... I'm already in pretty good shape, but i want to get a lot more toned and stronger.

as many ab exercises that you do, you wont lose ur gut if its covered in a layer of fat. Although they may help to some extent, mainly calesthetics burning a bunch of calories, the best way to lose the chunk would be to eat well, and exercise in a deficit so that you are losing fat. I bolded this because that is all that you want to do. So, saying this, hit the weights hard to maintain your muscle, or as much of it as possible. Make sure ur also eating adequate amounts of protein (1g per lb), and fats. The rest will follow
