The glass is half-full or half-empty?

Its both..........................
 
if you think about it, half full is correct.

Half empty if kind of like saying half of zero - theres no such thing. Empty is empty, no such thing as half of empty.

Anyway im thirsty who cares ;)
 
For me the glass is empty. Because if there's any water on it, I'm gonna chug it fast, there wont be anything left :eek:

call me a pessimist.. but what can I do.. I drink a lot of water :)

Well, the glass may not be half empty, but half of the glass is definitely empty.
 
If the last thing that was done with the glass added liquid (filling in a bit, etc), then it's half full.
However, if the last thing that was done took away liquid (for example taking a sip, etc) it's half empty (or halfway to becoming empty if you wanna nitpic :p)
that's the only thing that really makes sense to me.
 
In my first post, I said it was both, and when you look at the circumference of life, this is in fact true. Perception is a key tool to have within one's personal machine.

Some of us can be a optimist dependent upon the event, situation, or circumstance.

Some of us can be a pessimist dependent upon the event, situation, or circumstance.

The half full or half empty question sometimes demonstrates how one can view circumstances, events, and situations, in different ways--dependent on the point of view.

Therefore, I stay with my claim, it can be both. :)

The volume of water doesn't matter, the only thing that's relevent is the size of glass. Next time use a glass 50% smaller for that volume of water ;)
 
maybe the glass is bigger than it needs to be.
