Gotta keep trying, eh?

**** i came here to post something and then i forgot what it was but i couldn't leave without posting something

I agree with this comment.

Haha, no. I dun really have much to say. I mean, other than pointing out that everybody wants to be like me, and that's okay. :D

Glad you enjoyed the superbowl. I has won many reputations. And, I spent nearly half of it on my bike. The duration of the superbowl, not the rep. I don't think you can actually buy anything with that.

Then I said something about liking big butts and not being able to lie, followed by a timely k bye.

167. ****.

Starting - 175
1/14/08 - 172
1/21/08 - 167
1/28/08 - 165.5
2/4/08 - 167

Well it certainly ain't no pizza topping.

I'm pretty sure that 165.5 was a fluke too, which makes me stagnant for three weeks. Hey look, I'm consistent.

Hey Shells, how about that game? :D You should see my shirt. On the front it says "Proud supporter of the Manning family" and it has Archie, Cooper, Peyton, and Eli on it, then on the back it says go Giants. :):):):)

Ok new rule. At the end of the day I HAVE TO post what I ate all day. Even if it sucks. No hiding behind teh internetz0rz. And then you are all free to criticize me in any form, including haiku.

And next week we'll have a better week.

Also no more skipping cardio. If I skip cardio, more criticism for me. You hear?

Tonight, the gym, then menu planning and grocery shopping. I love menu planning and grocery shopping. For realz. Especially since we're out of food. Yeah that's another problem, I'm kinda in an "eat what comes to you" situation. But since I have time to get it together, hopefully I can make use of what's on sale.

I just need to not derail, I'm really close and I can feel it coming and I really need to avoid it.

I too am consistent in stagnancy. High five! Quite curious as to how my week off from weight training will affect things.

Maybe I haven't been paying attention, but have you actually made a formal plan at any point and said I will do X amount of X on X days of the week? And I will eat X calories at X/X/X ratios? For me it's easy because if you don't see a weight training post on Tues, Thurs and Sunday, with a cardio post every single day, you can yell at me. (And no one did, that one time I missed a day of cardio. :bncry: ) But with you I dun really know what's going on. :p

Posting your diet, and maybe a sample meal plan would be a good idea, I think. It really helps to be prepared for everything that might come up. For me, having a strict meal plan is great because I just eat exactly what I'm supposed to when I'm supposed to and don't worry about it. Which is why I don't bother to log my eating (it's already in both a spreadsheet and a tracking program sort of like fitday). Getting lots of variety in would actually make it considerably more difficult in my case.

Anyway, setting things down in specific detail is always good.

P.S. 1/21/08 to 2/04/08 is only 2 weeks. You fail at counting. ;)

The game was awesome!! I'm so happy for the hubby, he such a die hard fan - so finally he gets to be proud!!

Thats great that you like to plan your menu - see I have no issue once its set up, but its the actual planning that drives me nutts. Especially since I have a other half to think about - I cant imagine having kids a doing this. Then when Im on a budget I get a panic attack - for real! Going to the store and having to add up in my head is PURE TORTURE!!! TORTURE!!!!!!!!

My workout plan is such that I do cardio M-F, and on the weekends if I find time, which I usually don't, and weights MWF.

I don't have a set meal plan, that would drive me straight into the ground. Planning and most importantly restricting and eating very meticulously is just setting me up for disaster. What I need is good choices to choose from and good ingredients to cook with.

Basically I eat about 3-4 times a day, and I'm starting to eat protein with every meal, and trying to keep things even between protein and carbs, lest they fight. I eat breakfast every day now, and I try to eat before workouts, and always after.

Getting too specific and too regimented won't work for me, I've failed several times trying to do it that way. I just burn out.

I'll start posting the day's worth of food, and whatever else, it'll be open to interpretation.

Oh, and I knew it was only two weeks, I was being a drama queen :)

You might be better served reversing that - doing your weights M-W-F, and then, if you have time, doing your cardio.

Actually I do do the weights first, sorry I should have phrased that better. I haven't missed a day doing weights yet, it's the cardio I skip if I skip anything, mostly because I have to go somewhere to do that. The weights are all in my living room.

I just thought about this: four weeks in, 8lbs lost. So on average 2lbs a week...might be stretchin it but it makes me feel better.

Yeah, you complain too much. ;) My weight loss grinds to a halt exactly two weeks in. Then it starts to move in reverse. T_T

****, I'm already down to cutting off my hair to post a loss for tomorrow's contest weigh-in. :D It was holding me back on my squats, anyway.

A full body wax would take off another 5 to 10 wouldn't it?

Ok, as promised:

Food:
10:45 - Cottage cheese with pineapples
1:30 - Turkey chili and eight crackers, glass of skim milk
1 Hershey Kiss (My roommate swore I had to try it)
6:00 - Cod fillet, brocolli, two more crackers, glass of skim milk
10:30 - Subway six inch turkey sub, baked lays

That is everything that went in my stomach today. Except water. And prescription drugs.

Workout:
Squats 3x12@30
Deadlifts 3X12@30
Bent over rows 3x12@15
Bench press 3x12@30
Side bends 3x12@20
Situps 3x12

Cardio: Instead of driving to my friend's house I rode my bike. I estimate that to be about 2-3 miles, but I'll check on the odometer next time I actually drive there. There were a few hills, so it was fairly challenging.

I taught my roommate my routine today, she did it with me. Fun fun!

I feel great, full of energy.

Low fat saltines. I just frickin love crackers.

SO!

I finally divulged my secret life of fitness to the boy. Haha, I don't know why but I've been hiding everything for like years. Anyway, he's downstairs doing deadlifts right now.

He saw my weights and started doing fake bicep curls just to goof around and I was like, you're wasting your time with isolation exercises....then it was all downhill from there:). He HATES squats and it took a lot for him to do them. He was like, I HATE lower body and I was like fine, be a chicken-leg freak. And then he said, oh sorry, I forgot you wanted me to be beefy, and I was like, I don't care what you do but if you're going to do it you might as well do it right.:)

I think he's upset because I squat more weight than him.

So you finally came out of the closet - good for you lol. And you popped fitness nerd on him at the same time (talking about compound and isolation exercises there). But you're right - if you're going to do it, do it right.
