maintaining my body whilst injured

I've just recently hurt my elbow during training, most likely some form of tendonitis (tennis elbow) so i'm no doubt gonna be out of the gym for a month or so.

i was wondering, is there much that I can do to try and keep hold of any muscle that i have built? Or will it slowly disappear for as long as i can't work out?

I'm thinking if I continue on my bulking diet, I will just get fat.

Rest and healing are key. I would not continue on your bulking diet while you are in recovery. You can do some bodyweight training for your legs and core while your elbow heals.

Air Squats
Different crunches and such.
Lunges
Etc...

Healing is key.

why would a tendonitis in the elbow keep you out of the gym? Get in there and do what doesn't hurt. What does it affect? You can definately do squats, probably deadlifts. Is it on the outside or inside of the elbow? can you bench press or do rows?
Just do what you can, maybe lower the cals a bit, but going into a deflict will only cause your body to take energy from your muscles.

I agree that you should go to the gym and work whatever you're able to.
If you're willing to do some working out, then continue your bulking diet.
If you're not gonna work out than eat at maintenance level so you maintain your weight, and continue from where you left off at the gym when your injury heals.
