A few questions about weight training..

Ok my first question is, after weight training for 45 minutes and doing cardio for 15. Does your metabolism really raise for 24 hours? My p.t. said it does..

So does that mean I could go to mcdonalds or burger king and just get a whopper jr without mayo and cheese, or a regular hamburger? They arnt to bad in calories...and they are pretty high in protien..?

Also, I worked out my first time the other day. 2 days ago approx.. My body is still sore, like it hurts to lift up my arms lol. Did I overdue my workout? and my joints kind of hurt..

Your pt is correct.

Sure, you could, but why would you want to? Whoppers and big macs are high in calories but they are extremely high in fat with 40 - 50% of their calories coming from fat, about twice what the Surgeon General recommends as safe!

Also, I worked out my first time the other day. 2 days ago approx.. My body is still sore, like it hurts to lift up my arms lol. Did I overdue my workout? and my joints kind of hurt..

All newbs to working out get sore; it goes with the turf. Later, it takes big changes to effect that soreness. But, while your muscles will, predictably, be sore, your joints shouldn't! Tell your PT about this. I am prone to tennis elbow and shoulder tendinitis, both of which are forms of tendon bursitis. If I get tenderness in either joint, I have to lay off any weights that antagonize those tendons for about a month. Advil and ice help. Stretching can prevent some of the problems. Your PT should be able to give you advice on preventing any joint problems.

Congrats on getting started on a lifelong process!

lol

Uh lol bigmacs and whoppers are so high in calories because the mayo they use, and the cheese mainly. You get rid of the cheese and mayo that cuts a **** load of calories. And I am not talking about a whole whopper, I am talking about those tiny hamburgers from bk and mcdonalds. They are like 225 calories :S

why would you want to eat food from a place where they found a fried chicken head in the chiken nuggets?!?! why not eat something natural?

Right. High in saturated fat and possibly trans-fat

If a food is too high in fats that it makes you fat, then the amount of fat is important along with the type of fat it is. And, don't forget the high amount of cholesterol in those burgers.
