Back (AGAIN)

Here at our YMCA (which is where we have memberships) they are requiring temp checks, waivers, and limited groups per area (weight room, cardio, basketball gym, etc) and it just seems like such a hassle. How do you guys manage? Or have your gyms done this?
Most gyms shut here in Australia & are only just reopening but with strict protocols. I am grateful, on your behalf, that your gym is trying to be safe. It is dangerous to underestimate this virus. Stay safe & find other ways to get fit if going to the gym is frustrating. You can do it.
 
Were you able to lift on on Monday night? How about talking with your family to have healthier snacks in the house, as Cate suggested? Why do you feel pessimistic?

I wouldn't worry about being as strong as you once were. If you lift, you'll become strong enough in time. I'd worry more about losing weight and being generally healthy. With lifting, I'd be more concerned with proper form and not pushing yourself to the point of injury.
 
So I did a bad thing. I ate some bacon that I should not have last night. I don’t really think it’s gonna affect my progress but I’m still beating myself up over it. Not a great feeling.
 
Eating bacon may not be a helpful thing when you´re trying to lose weight but it´s not "bad". Beating yourself up over it is no use; try to learn from it and move on.
 
What led you to eat the bacon?
My wife made it for dinner for her and the kids, and they didn't eat all she made, so it was just sitting there in the kitchen. Looking at me lol. Bacon is just one of those trigger foods. I love it. I was eating my last meal for the day and decided apparently that I needed to give in to that craving.

I'm not so much upset about what it was that I ate, but that I ate something outside of my diet when I didn't need it, and I had eaten my calories for the day.
 
We never stop learning, Marc. Maybe next time factor in one piece as part of your plan.
 
Hey guys! It's been a bit since I've posted anything, but I feel like it's pretty much more of the same lol.

I came today to say, I'm down 41 pounds as of this morning!! There have been ups and downs so far but I have been able to get back on track immediately and keep my eye on the prize! So excited to hit this and continue dropping weight! Thank you all!
 
Great work Marc, congratulations! Getting off track a little bit may slow things down but as long as you keep getting back ON track you´ll reach your goal.

I feel great! Some days are harder than others. I get cravings, especially when I see something on social media or the like (specifically pizza) but overall it has been a great experience. I am still working on my relationship with food but it's all headed in the right direction.

I do need new pants/shorts lol but for now I'm just using a belt. I could probably go down a shirt size, but I am comfortable in my bigger shirts right now (body confidence thing)

Work not so much lol. I work for a non-profit in my community and I am the director of our security division, I pretty much work alone in my own office. We have staff meetings every couple weeks or so, but I tend to arrive first and sit, so I'm not sure how noticeable it has been for everyone.

My mother, my wife and a fried of ours have said they noticed. Sometimes I feel like I do as well, other days not so much.

At some level of course you´ll always be you, no matter how slim you get. But I´m sure the mirror will look different at some point :)
 
How you feel yourself is what is most important. Your clothes are getting too big. Yay! Well done, Marc :)
