Lift, Train, Fitness

I had a video call with my GP this morning, now I need to wait and see if they make a difference.

Son 3 is now on "holidays" while his boss tries to work out a way to avoid losing staff.

I hope he finds a way and gets rewarded by the government for doing so.

Our 2nd son is also on "holidays" as is all the staff in the large hotel he works in. Crazy times, Tru. Hope you feel better soon xo

Hubby still has work because his employer is the state education department and works at one of the local high schools. He has been flat out in the lab preparing stuff for student experiments that the Y12 students need to have done before final exams.

Your husband seems to work flat out quite a large part of the year - between his job and firefighting.

He hates not getting stuff done, firefighting is volunteering, his work is a science technical officer which involves running the lab at the high school, preparing experiments, working with chemicals etc. and if a teacher does not know something science related then he is the first person they talk to. He also coaches the school chess team.

I'm sorry about your son's job - it's good that his employer is trying to find a way to keep it going. There's similar stuff in my family too - so many anxieties on every side.

I have not posted for a while, I have only had time to keep an eye on the spam as I have been busy with uni stuff

As an introvert self isolation is not a problem

The spam has been horrendous. After our week of medical appointments, I'll be glad to self-isolate.

Today I have been building a model of some terrain which I have to create a topographical map of as part of a replacement exercise because the uni tutorial group is unable to go into the field to do navigational exercises.

Sounds like that would be right up your alley! Did you end up getting tested, by the way, and are you fit again?

The spam is indeed ludicrous - to the point that I´m not sure if it makes sense for me to report it during Australian night-time. Does it?

I will post a pic of the model when I am finished it. did not get tested but feeling ok, everybody else in the household is ok. have not been away from the house for two weeks now but hubby done some essentials shopping yesterday and I need to do some shopping in the next couple of days to buy more spices for my next batch of biltong.

keep reporting, it helps to make sure we don't miss any of it, the automatic filters catch a lot but not all of it.

Just finished submitting the assessment task which included making a model with specific terrain features and the topographical map and side view map of that terrain. I will post a pic of the model once the due date has passed just in case the uni plagiarism software picks up my post.

so far so good all of my assessments for the subject so far have been solid marks (credit)

now I need to go and read a couple of psychology chapters ready to do an online assessment quiz in the next couple of days.

But before more brain work I should hit my home gym for mental relief

exercise did not happen, hubby got me sucked into watching an episode of "good omens" a series based on a Terry Pratchett book. I love his books and wish I knew where my Tshirt is that has his signature scrawled across the back, I should have had the foresight to have it framed 20 years ago after the convention where he was running writing seminars and I had a game module published.

Terry Pratchett´s works are among the great and lasting joys in my life. Neil Gaiman is well worth reading on his own as well, but of course he doesn´t have anything as fleshed-out as the Discworld. I love his fairy-tale adaptations though, especially a jet-black Snowwhite short story.

I have been busy with uni work, completed an online assessment for psychology, happy with 86%

need to get some training in, too much focus on exercising my brain to the detriment of my body.
