Finally got a little rain, but it has been super patchy, some areas have got heaps, others almost nothing, showers on my property but not enough to make much difference to water tank levels.

I can hear thunder again now, hopefully we will get more than light showers.

Failed to track fully yesterday, probably hit target calories, Ignored the Pizza everybody else in the house was eating.

Now I am just filling in time waiting for uni to open up class time selection, I want the tute times I have planned for, not the ones left over lol

Completely unrelated to weight loss, I just read research that the Venom of the funnel web spiders on Fraser Island is the most potent spider venom in the world, being more potent than the Sydney Funnel web. A person in town pulled 2 Fraser Funnelwebs out of her pool this morning, they have become active since the little bit of rain we have had, and it is breeding season, so the males are out looking for mates.

I do like spiders, there was a beautiful spider making a web on my heavy bag a couple of days ago, and was about half the size of my hand, I don't know what species it was, but if I see it again I will get a photo, It was too dark last time.

... recently when I made shortbread ....

can i ask what flour you used for shortbread? this year i tried mixing 30% white rice flour (gluten free). frankly i didn't notice much, if any difference in texture. i should have made half with my normal full wheat flour recipe. i probably will next time to compare them. only happens once a year, though.

The recipe I use has 2 tbsp of rice flour with 2 cups of plain flour, so not even 30% rice flour, I have not tested making it with just flour. I don't do a lot of baking and this was a simple recipe to be able to make with the help of a toddler who wanted to roll dough.

Timetable all sorted for Uni, Wednesday will be a very full day but will cut down on my petrol costs by having to only drive to the uni once per week for the face to face lectures and tutorials, the rest is online lectures which I can attend at home :)

I don't have any idea exactly when the Fraser Island hike and the everglade canoe field trips will be.

Once a week to Uni will be much better, Tru. Eek to Fraser Island funnel web's venom  Let's hope you don't get up close & personal with any when you do go to FI!

it was fun watching little miss experience rain for the first time lol
Oh, I love the thought of this! Water from the sky! Magic! :) :) I hope more of it arrives for you.
Great that you got the timetable you wanted - that is, I think you did? Tute times and all?
Spiders are more worrying than snakes for me - because spiders can lurk inside shoes (of course since that happened I've taken to covering over the tops of the empty shoes with old socks and things, just in case) and in fact anywhere in the house, whereas snakes in the house are rare.

@aiminglow yes, it was the timetable I wanted including Tute times, it means only using 1/2 a tank of fuel each week

I knew there must of been more reasons I train to lift heavy things

Reason #87, The ability to lift and carry a fully laden shopping trolley down a stopped escalator in the middle of a shopping center blackout.

as a side benefit, the skinny sales people selling gym memberships at the top right next to the escalator, backed away with shocked looks on their faces lol. The wheels on the trolleys are designed to dig in and stop it from rolling downwards when the system is all working, but those suckers dig in and refuse to move when everything stops.

:rotflmao: I love that and would´ve liked to see their faces!

keeping everything on target, breakfast this morning was steamed broccoli still with a slight crunch.

Keeping an ear out for the courier truck today, hopefully they are not slack like last time I had something delivered, where they claimed I was not home and just left a card despite me being home all day (they did not bother to drive up the driveway)

I understand being a courier is not a fun job and they get a lot of pressure to make their quota, but it's so annoying when that happens!

I get it a lot here, being out of town and the house is not visible from the road. It is bad when it happens, but worse when it is large stuff that won't fit in the car when you have to make the trip into the depot, and they won't make an attempt at actual delivery.

With this package my car might be long enough if I am forced to pick it up, otherwise I will have to hook up the trailer, which kind of negate the point of paying for delivery to the door.

o_O
That is pretty blinking impressive!
(Shame on the gym people for not hopping in to help! Not that you needed it, but anyone other than you, just about, and that would have been a potentially unsafe situation.)

Yum! :)
