Today was the first day that I ate healthy. My doctor told me not to count calories and just to focus on clean healthy eating so this is what I ate today:

2 kind bars
an apple
1.5 cups of blueberries
1 serving of almond thin crackers
1 cup of buckwheat
1/2 bell pepper
1/4 cup of cucumber
handful of nuts
1 cup of vanilla greek yogurt

i also walked my dog for 40 minutes and rode on the peloton bike for 20 minutes

my weight today: 175 lbs
Good start! :)
Don't give up :) If you will give up for a second- don't blame yourself- just leave it behind you and start a new day with your healthy meal :)
 
I don’t really like vegetables (even though i’m a vegetarian haha) but if i have carrots with ranch would that be okay? Without ranch I wouldn’t be able to eat more than 2 baby carrots
 
Okay - life's too rushed right now, but after Christmas, I vote for a barrage of excellent vegetable ideas to appear in the Recipes section of this site! :D
I totally agree! I want to like vegetables but I can’t find a way to prepare them that I like
 
Another day has passed of me eating healthy :)
This is what I ate today:

1.5 cups greek yogurt
kind bar
banana
3 crisp wasa
orange
apple
2 scrambled eggs with ketchup
whole wheat toast with cream cheese and chia seeds
1 cup of pomegranate
handful of nuts

I walked the dog for 40 minutes and I did 20 minutes on the peloton and i’m going to walk him again before i go to bed for about 30 minutes.

My weight today is 172.3
 
Has anyone else experienced feeling kind of funny when switching diets? I had an awful headache on Monday and today my stomach feels rather odd.
 
Headaches are normal when you're reducing sugar or caffeine and a bit of abdominal discomfort may occur when you up your fiber intake (especially when you're not drinking more water as well) but anything severe and/or longer lasting should get medical attention.
 
It’s day 3 of healthy eating! This is what I ate today:

1 cup of greek yogurt
1 banana
2 kind bars
1 serving of spicy cajun pistachios
1 apple
1.5 cups of salad mix with a little bit of tortilla strips, tablespoon of rosemary garlic oil, and 1.5 tablespoons of balsamic vinegar
handful of peanuts
1 serving of almond thin crackers with 2 tablespoons of 1/3 fat cream cheese
1 orange

I walked the dog today for 30 minutes and I went on the Peloton for 20 minutes. The peloton rides are getting so intense! haha

Today’s weight: 172.1

This is normal. Your body needs to accept your new eating style. Your organs need to accept your new situation :)
It will go away after a week or so.
Don't forget to drink pure water by small sips - all day long :)
 
Day four of healthy eating! I must say I’m looking forward to Sunday for a cheat meal lunch. We’re getting a puppy on Saturday and on Sunday we’re going out to eat and taking her with us! Also, it’s getting kind of easier to eat healthy when I eat things I actually enjoy and I’m not forcing myself to eat food I dislike. Here is what I ate today:

peanut butter and jelly sandwich with whole wheat bread and homemade jelly
1 cup greek yogurt
1 kind bar
1 serving almond thins with 2 tablespoons 1/3 fat cream cheese
half a bell pepper
3/4 cup blueberries
20 grapes
1/3 cup sriracha nuts
1 cup buckwheat
1/2 cup spinach
1 1/2 cups sauerkraut

I walked my dog for about 1 hour and 15 minutes and I did a Peloton ride for 20 minutes.
I forgot to mention that I drink at least 96 ounces of water a day as well to stay hydrated.

My weight today: 169.7
 
Day 5 :)

This is what I ate today:
1.5 cups of yogurt
2 kind bars
3 wasa
1/3 cup sriracha almonds
banana
crackers with cream cheese
2 oranges

I know I didn’t eat much but I honestly just wasn’t really hungry.

I also walked my dog for 10 minutes and went on the peloton for 30 minutes.

My weight today: 169.9
 
Sriracha almonds sound delicious! When I come back I need to experiment with making sriracha nuts.
