Flyer's diary

Didn't the US admit the war on marijuana was a ploy to put hippies and people of color in jail when they wanted to?

..., LSD's the bomb". ...
been a looooooooog time since i've been bombed... ;)

... hippies and people of color ....
it's sad that physics plays such a small role in people's thinking these days... black is the absence of color... white is the presence of all colors. there are no colorless people.

since i stopped getting haircuts (for a reason i'd rather not mention until next November), i'll have to see if the hippie prejudice is still in effect... :)

No, but its a valid point.

Marijuana is still illegal under federal law, which makes it illegal in all US states; they just don't enforce it. States have been doing the enforcement, and those states that have "legalized" it really haven't, they are just ending enforcement for now. For this reason all cannabis sales and business has to be done in cash, no credit cards, checks, or banks involved, and all of the shops are small unaffiliated businesses, no cannabis in WalMart.

my prediction is that MJ will eventually be similar to homebrewing. ...you can make it, consume it, but you cannot sell it. that's pretty much the CA "guidelines" now. i've had a few offers myself, but i want to keep legal. i've gotten a few people frustrated... i tell them "i can give you some (and i have), i just can't sell you any". ...of course if someone wants to get the next round.... i'm sure there are more important quid pro quo's going on these days.

no doubt that i'm coming out of a good weekend...

going to give a very low carb Novermber a shot... no bagels... this is going to hurt...!
just for the hell of it, i think i'll see if i can hit a BMI = 22. eight lbs to go.

i can't think of a better time than just before the holiday season. ...:)

i was going to gOMAD today, but stretched it out to 2 meals. started the day off at about 2pm with steak and eggs (going to repeat this tomorrow... pictures then), a big red plum and finished off the day with some oatmeal and a handful of carrots. that sounds like a lot if i want to drop a few, but i have to get to the PO tomorrow... it's Halloween so some people watching should be an amusement for a while ...coffee and a Thursday puzzle should carry me through the fasting day.

keeping busy is a double edged sword... always moving and too busy to think about food.

early in the day for a weigh-in, but i like what i see so far...

on the menu today... a few bunless hamburgers ... steamed carrots and i've still got another Casper pumpkin i've already prepped.

new rules for weight loss...

...i only had one... :)
#2 is wrapped up in the fridge for later today.
i'll have to see how a microwave deals with it.

i did cut back a little on the sweetness... probably less than i tsp of brown sugar and ½ tbsp butter in each half.

definitely going shopping soon to see if any little pumpkins are on sale. still not fed up with them just yet. i have a feeling they might be historically in vogue until Thanksgiving, though.

so i'm the first that will admit any one scale reading could be an anomaly, but i've been seeing too many sub 165 lb readings and will take that as my current weight. if i see a 167, i'm not going to panic, though.

yesterday was another two meal day probably within a 6 hour window. i went with 2 x ¼lb bunless cheeseburgers and a whole slew of roasted onions ... maybe 2 med size white onions... when i broil burgers or roast a chicken, i'll always slice up an onion... with me that's a side dish that goes with everything. later i had a big bowl of steamed carrots, ½ of that Casper pumpkin shown above... and 4 Starbursts i picked up T-or-Ting yesterday...:)

early weigh-in... but full sweats on (!) ... nice and toasty.... in my head i could hear my dad yelling at me for running the clothes dryer this morning for such an insane reason...

i've tried to be pretty consistent in my weigh-in gear. around the house i usually wear a light pair of sweat pants and a t-shirt. unlike the characters on The Big Bang Theory (aside from Penny), you don't need sweaters, hoodies, jackets of multiple layers of clothes in general in SoCal. it's getting to be sweatshirt weather, but mostly at night. from birthday suit to business suit, the change on me is about 2.5-3 lbs. generally what i wear at weigh-in adds about a pound and a half. ...but i'd rather not think about the noise.

Silly question: why do people weigh in with clothes on? I only ever did that for Weightwatchers' public weigh-in.

...why do people weigh in with clothes on? ....
i broke my left big toe so many times i finally had to get a few little metal plates and a couple screws installed to hold it in place. frankly, i don't even like to look at it...
