Rebel's Diary

Just another random day. It's going to be filled with netflix and on demand movies.
The good for me food is starting to run low so gonna have to get to the store in a few days.
I went for a short walk yesterday. I got winded but not to the extent i normally would. I might try again tonight.
Im just going to have to force myself to get to bed b4 the sun comes up in the am. I have a cpap fit test for a new mask. It'll take awhile to get a new one though. The mask prices are krazy stoopid at the sleep place. Time to troll the internet for a decent priced one.
Well anyhow....welcome to a brand new day.

Id like to thank everyone for all the support you've given me and the different foods and tips y'all have suggested. It has really helped in discovering all the foods out there that i really never thought about eating b4.

Well another day pretty much gone. Went and got fitted for a new cpap mask. As i expected the mask in their store was close to $300.00. Ain't gonna happen; time to search the internet.
Food was pretty good. I had a small amount of potato for the first time in a month. OMG soooooooo good.

I can only eat potato with salt on it, so try not to have it. It's crazy how much cheaper you can get most things online!

I really try to stay away from pototoes and rice due to the carb content. Not that i cant have them; they just make my blood sugar go wonky. With me trying to keep my net carbs below 100g those starches really dont help. Although some days i really blow it. One day it even hit 325g but i really really wanted that oatmeal w fruit.
Yea online on the cpap supplies r much cheaper. I have found some about half of what the sleep center was charging. I'm still looking around though. Im such a tightwad with money lol.

I have to go grocery shopping today. My good for me food is running low. Shopping use to b so easy. Just grab a few things and done. Now looking at carb and protein contents it's going to take forever.
I need a secretary.
--------good grief--------

Don't worry: grocery shopping will get easier again. Forming new habits is uncomfortable but once they're in place they don't cost extra energy anymore.

I didnt sleep lastnight so i thought I'd poke around my fitness pal. I've only ever used the calorie counter option. There's more there than i thought.

There's heaps on MFP, but I find the forum a little aggressive. I have not got back into using it properly again as it's time consuming. The phone app has SO many ads!

Yesterday was pretty good except for sleeping through breakfast again.
I ended up with 16 net carbs which is really good for me. I tried hummus for the first time....OMG sooo good. I bought some tofu to try but im not expecting much. Ill try it but thats about all i can do. I've been trying new foods just so i dont feel confined to just a few foods and recipes.

About tofu: it needs a bit of a crust. It's spongy stuff (which means it takes on marinades very well) and I really don't like the texture if it hasn't been cut relatively thinly and fried off a bit. Although tossed in corn starch and deep fried somewhat bigger chunks work well with a dip. Bottom line: check Youtube for recipes instead of treating it like meat and expecting the same effect.
