Saks getting fit (mind, body and soul)!

Glad your skin is getting better already & well done on another good day. Where are you going Saks?

5 march, 2015
past two days eating healthy and keeping low calories. Thinking before ordering food

Breakfast: milk with chocolate mix
Lunch: didn't have time for breakfast so had brunch/lunch of vegetable skewers, bread
Snack: milk with chocolate mix
Dinner: Lentils, 2 wheat bread, vegetables

Exercise
Walked in malls and markets. Needed to buy some stuff.

6 march 2016

Breakfast: milk with chocolate mix
Lunch: Russian salad (150 cal), lentil soup
Snack: orange, milk with chocolate mix, vegetarian minestrone soup
Dinner: not decided, will make a sandwich of cheese and lettuce or will order some salad

Exercise:
have not walked yet....but will do 30 min walk

I am trying to limit calories...and while ordering food look at restaurants that mention calorie count along with dish. It's an eye opener. some dishes that I thought are healthy....have so many calories.

7th March

So I had started a more targeted and rigorous food regime on 1st March. Things are getting a bit better.

Food
Breakfast: milk with chocolate mix, rice and black beans
Lunch: one subway sandwich..it still had over 450 calories
Snack: very hungry right now. In office and not carrying any fruit. So will have a subway salad (it seems to be the only healthy outlet near my office building). I also want to eat because there is an office dinner party. I don't want to end up having lot of fried unhealthy stuff.
Dinner: party...will try to choice healthiest option and think before eating

Exercise:
Did 30 min walk in morning

Did not eat my pimple medicine today morning. Need to do so when I reach home tonight.

Take care my friends. Eating healthy and within the calorie limit is a challenge...food I generally get is full of calories...or has unhealthy stuff hiding in so called healthy stuff...but I will be careful and eat things that are good and fresh.

You too Saks. It is a minefield out there. Nasty little calories lurking around every corner. Eating out is ny far the hardest thing.

Coming back to the forum after 20 days. Here is where things stand

My weight came down by 1 kg and then went up again. So it seems to be another month of no change.

Here are some positive highlights
  • This month I travelled....I had not gone out for more than an year. This month I went on 4 trips within the country. My confidence level regarding travel has tremendously improved (touch wood). So this has been one big big achievement. The paranoia is gone.
  • I have made positive improvements regarding skin. I have been very regular with all the medications doctor has given me. There has been no new pimple (again touch wood). I will be seeing doctor again in two weeks.
  • I have been more conscious about what I eat: no chocolate in last 20 days (can you imagine!...I was 2 chocolate a day person), very little soda, constantly checking and eating healthy options
So what needs more improvement
  • Last few months in office have been very hazy and uncertain. Now there is clarity on what I will be doing. So the emotional turmoil has significantly reduced. I know now what I should focus on. As I get back on track hopefully I will be more happy and can carve out time for till more exercise
  • Food: Its unbelievable how easy it is to exceed calorie target. So need to be even more prudent.

I still aim to reduce 5 kg by 2 July. Seems difficult given last 2 months it has remained the same. Need your good vibes friends...we gotta make this happen.

4 trips without gaining is a win sweetie.
I'm sending you gazillions of good vibes Saks. GAZILLIONS! We can do this. I now have 5kg to get down to my lowest adult weight. This 5kg is by far the hardest to lose. I won't be able to do it by July, but I'm going to give it a crack. GO US!!!

11 April

So returning after some time. Things stand as...

1 kg down...yes I think its 1 kg!....so at least the scale is moving down.

Food
no tea, coffee, chocolate, ice-creams, white bread, reducing white rice
Adding more vegetables, fruits, salads etc.
more water

Exercise:
walking 30 min a day

Also for pumping up mood...will take a walk, listen to music...any thing...but not turn to chocolates to cure boredom.

Aim is to reduce 1 more kg by April end. Let's see. Hope this works!...need to get more careful of what am I eating

Hi sweetie. It's nice having you back. April 1kg? Yes, we can do that! xoxo

Thanks Cate....aim is to reduce 1 kg by the end of April. I have started a cleanse sort of diet. Eating salads, fruits...and drinking more water.

I have started cooking simple healthy meals...made vegetable as well as fruit salad today. I mix and match ingredients. It's so much fun...and so healthy. Today I made a spinach sweet corn cucumber capsicum and apple salad :)

Skin is a bit better...the antibiotic has stopped...still using some face creams. There are some black spots from the pimples. It will take time to heal. But eating healthy will surely help. My goal...is some day to have the confidence to go make up free. Once I get my weight to 50 kg...I will then start working on the ambitious goal of being make up free ;-)

How are you? Sending you good vibes to kick off the last few kgs. Take care
