Question about Hypertrophy I program from NROL

for Workout A in Hypertrophy I I have 3 supersets with full rest. In these three super sets I have Dumbbell incline bench press, then dumbbell shoulder press, and finally barbell close grip bench press. And for the first workout I'm doing 5x5 for each. Isn't this alot of volume for hitting the same group? Or is that the point? Just wondering.

Also, can I replace some of the exercises (say, cable seated row) with similar ones (say, bent over row)? Thanks in advance

stick to what it says as much as possible, i messed with H1 for a few weeks but got better results when i knuckled down to it.

NROL presumes you have all equipment always available to you, and it can often be hard getting to what you need, especially with supersets. I've frequently had to switch rows or benches but ive always kept it to when necessary only.

If I remember correctly the idea is to induce a deeper level of exhaustion in the muscles. (As opposed to the Fat Loss programs which put exercises for unrelated muscle groups so as to increase stress.)

sorry to hijack but...

ive chosen to do strength I for fat loss, as fat loss went against everything on this forum. so i lift bigger to retain muscle, eat to lose fat. have you done fat loss from NROL?

no. do not do a strength training routine from NROL while cutting.
those programs are designed for people and their goals.
if you are doing a hypertrophy routine, or a strength training routine from NROL, they are assuming you are eating at least maintenance calories, because you did not choose their fat loss routine; so they assume you will NOT have a deficit in calories.
they made the fot loss programs for a reason. and that reason is that you are trying to lose fat, therefore you have a deficit. so they have you train differently

if you do have a deficit in calories, and you are doing a strength routine, your diet is already going against the routine. you may be ripping your muscles more than your caloric deficit can handle. they did not factor in the variable that one would be cutting weight, so they did not lower the volume.

if you are looking to lose weight, do the fat loss routine
