Only Weight Training for Weight-Loss?

I think you would benefiet from a combination of cardio and weight trainging more then you would if you just did weight training. Remeber that if you do decide to do that, do cardio after the weight training for maximum results. A quality diet, however, will be the most important factor first and foremost.

I agree completely with Friendly Giant. Weight training alone could be enough. You would be providing stimulation to the muscles to keep them around while the deficit from diet would cause fat loss. Throwing in some cardio would just speed things up and give you an opportunity to do some endurance work.

dont, you cant the enough effort into weights that you need to get the best out of it if you've already knackered yourself out with cardio.

Yeah, I see now, here is a comment left for me on another fitness forum

Always do your weight lifting first (after a 5 min warm-up) then cardio. This gives your muscles the glycogen needed to lift heavy and then depleats it so you are buring more fat during cardio.

now that I think about it, that makes more sense. I can probably lift more and more reps before spending 40 minutes on cardio.
