popping out viens....

that's pretty much it. low body fat lets veins and muscles show thru the skin more easily.
low bodyfat and lifting weights, then flex, veins pop. if you ever watch bodybuilding competitions, they will do a light workout right before they hit the stage for a posedown.

Why would you want that? It looks pretty gross to me.

that's your opinion, and its fine. but you can also keep it to yourself since it doesn't offer anything useful to this thread...and once again makes it look like you're just trolling for a fight.

I get the feeling that nickorette finds the super lean bodybuilder look appealing, where you see muscle striations, and every vein/artery under the skin.

if that's what he wants, and he wants to do it the right way, more power to him. give useful input that actually matters, or keep your mouse off the Reply button.

That's why I typed it.

The question was to him, and he answered it. I don't understand how you can give "useful input" (as you term it) regarding someone else's state of mind. He's the only person qualified to answer my question to him.

But you just said that my opinion was fine.

Getting back to the OP's question...

I was chatting with a client of mine, who is a wannabe bodybuilder, and I told him that I worked hard to get a single bicep vein and I was amazed at these bodybuilders who have a half-dozen. He said the bodybuilders take drugs to increase their vascularization.

In the absence of performance enhancing drugs, I would guess that leanness, muscularity, and genetics would all play a role in expressing veins.

I dieted and trained off 30 pounds, and did a bunch of isolation excersizes for biceps, like curls, hammer curls, and more curls and eventually got a bicep vein and a forearm vein. I wouldn't do that isolation stuff for long though.

You would guess right.

I normally have quite superficial veins myself.

And by the way, you dont see arteries.

hmmm what is wrong with isolation exercises? Are they just not as effective as compound exercises?

Anyhow right now I do have veins on both sides of the forarms and one coming in on the shoulder. I even have a bit of a small one coming in between my abs and side. I guess just diet and exercise brings them out.

a pic would be cool i never heard of one on your abs lol but shoulder only seen a couple times.

i will be making my own photo gallery tomorrow im not in shape so dont expect good pics lol but i will document my journey so people can see my progress currently im at day 31 of a 90 day program and have some pretty good results. i would like to get some abs and a pumped blood lane or 2 so i know i have to lower my weight to achieve this
