Cottage cheese

I am eating cottage cheese about every second day, is that too much?

Looking for suggestion for healthy snacks and "in-between" meals.
Thanks

I eat a 1/2 cup LF cottage cheese everyday and because of my sweet tooth, I like to add those new Splenda coffee flavorings (no calories!!) in it. They have mocha, hazelnut and french vanilla packets. They are wonderful to kind of mix things up a bit. Cottage cheese is a great protein source. Just be careful not to overdo it because of the fat. Good luck with your goals.

Cottage cheese is awesome. I'll have a cup mixed with whey and a packet of splenda for a feeding. Add to that some veggies and it's a complete feeding.

I prefer the large curd because the texture of small curd is a little, unnerving.

How do you people eat cottage cheese? I hate the taste and the feel it leaves in your mouth. Me as you can tell I eat it less as possible. When I do eat it, I include in my salads or just add honey to plain cottage cheese. Maybe, you should also start eating more often.

I hear ya man. Cottage cheese does NOT float my boat.

Often eat a 250gram pack for a nightsnack, with some bread. If you dont like the taste then you can make rolls of soft flatbread filled with cottage cheese, varm-smoked(?) mackerel, smoked salmon, lettuce, tomatoes, asparagus etc. real tasty.

Yum....that soudns so good. Im going to try that.

I'm slowly getting better at choking back cottage cheese. I've found that the small curd mixed with some fruit is do-able. Its just the consistancy of the stuff that gags me.

so what kinds of cottage cheese does everyone eat? here i have available "full fat," "low fat," and "fat free." the FF is pretty gross, but i have yet to try the others..

I have it almost every day. Honestly, I eat the fat-free kind straight up and it's not half-bad. The saltier it gets, the worse it is. I like the idea of mixing it with whey & peanut butter, I'm going to give that a try.

I got this cottage cheese yesterday made by friendship or something. Its 1% fat and its actually whipped, so it has a really fluffy almost smooth consistency which i like alot more than the regular small curd. Tastes great with some cinammon, oats, and splenda.

hmm.. i'm going to have ot find that. Do they have it at most local grocery stores?
I dont mind the taste of small curd cottage cheese, but I can't stand the texture.

here is the website , you can see if they sell it in any stores near you, i live in ct and got it at stop and shop. i like regular cottage cheese also, but this one actually has a better taste as well as a better consistency. And believe it or not it has more protein with 16 grams than breakstones which is another kind i have with only 12 which is regular cottage cheese. And if that isnt enough these are the only ingredients "Cultured Pasteurized Grade A Skim Milk, Milk, Salt, and Vitamin A Palmitate," so its not nearly as processed as this other stuff i have which is a run under kraft. Highly recommend it if it isnt obvious already.
