Susie's Fitness Journal

Hm, well, yes, I suppose I could and I probably should...:D

I guess I have that mindset that I hate to waste food, but...gotta do what I gotta do for my health!

I guess I'll keep a piece for my cheat day and toss the rest?

Stingo where in PA are you from if you don't mind my asking? I'm orginally from NEPA. If you don't want to give out specifics on the board that's fine, too.

------------------------------

I took some new "before" pictures for motivation-- I want to stick to my current workout/food plan for one month and then evaluate my progress then. I've been having a problem lately with constantly changing my plan of attack and I think I really just need to focus on one approach and stick with it for a while.

Your mom-in-law gave you the bacon for that reason - she didn't want to eat it herself lol. I suppose you could freeze it and just use it sparingly, or as part of a special dish.

Regarding PA, I'll send you a PM.

Yup! What's more SHE had gotten it as a gift herself. Her sister-in-law came to visit and brought desserts and a whole bunch of smoked meat including the bacon. I'm assuming the sister-in-law actually bought it in the store to begin with and someone hadn't given it to her, too. :p

Last night before bed I did a 20-minute ab routine. I can't believe I'm starting to enjoy doing abdominal exercises, I guess once you get past their intial weak condition and start building up some strength it gets better. My abs used to be soooo weak, and my neck too, which made it even more tiring.

We just booked a little trip for the start of May and it includes a trip to a thermal bath, which means swimsuit, so that's a little rev of motivation for getting into shape. But really I think it's better to focus on increasing energy and general strength levels instead of obsessing over looking perfect in a bikini, but looking perfect in a bikini isn't such a bad thing, either. :)

true but if you work on the energy, strength and endurance (along with eating a clean diet), the bikini will take care of itself.

I've been sooooo bad.

Around the time of my last entry I was stricken with stomach flu and wasn't functioning at 100% for about a week-- and I hadn't formally worked out since then...until today. I did an upper body workout to ease back into things. I think I'll go do an ab workout now, too.
