When to move up

I am going to use the Bench Press as an example here

When should you move up to lifting heavier weights

Bench Press: Say i am doing 3 sets of 8 reps on 60kg

When should i increase the weight ? ? ?

Should i try doing 4 set of 8 reps on 60kg
OR
Should i try doing 3 sets of 7 reps on 65kg

WHICH WOULD BE A BETTER APPROACH
 
i like to do 4 sets, 12, 10, 8, 6, while gradually increasin the weight after each set. then once i can do the last 6 with out the need for a spot, ill up the weight by 5 pounds , that way the next time i press, im doing 5 pounds heavier on each set.
You could do ur 3 sets of 8, and when it becomes easy enough for u to do 12 reps on ur last , try bumping up the weight :D
 
I pyramid the weight up reps down. reps 12 warm up, 8,6,4 if im strength training. If you get to 4 easily with your last weight up it
