Susie's Fitness Journal

Well...I'm still around but I have been slacking with Slim in 6. I need to rev up my motivation again.

I think part of the problem is for some of the movements I find myself being skeptical about them, like some of the standing abs work, I don't feel anything in my abs at all and I feel like I'm just wasting my time doing awkward moves! But maybe it's like what people say about pilates, where you don't feel like you work hard but you end up really getting results?

Also knowing that I'll have an hour of hard work ahead of me tends to make me want to put it off. Bad, I know! :D

Today my husband surprised me by saying out of the blue that I look better and better every day, face and figure. Wasn't that sweet? Not sure if I believe him, though I do think I look healthier since I've been exercising and getting some muscle tone.

I did Burn It Up today and to keep myself motivated I kept thinking about how I'd go shopping after as a reward...I did and I got an awesome pair of sparkly silver shoes. :p

Contrary to what you might think from what I've written here, I'm not much of a shopper, but I guess I'm in the mood for some serious "renewal"-- out with the old, in with the new!

I know. I think the same thing when hubby says that I'm sexy. I tell him, "you have to say that!" LOL

Hi Sadie,
I haven't checked the boards in a few days... I've been slacking BIG TIME, with both healthy diet and exercise. I have to get back on track. Part of the problem is we're having some work done on our apartment (condo to people in the US) and there is no space in the livingroom for me to work out right now. Bleh.

I got burned out on "Burn It Up." The thing is I was getting back and neck pain after doing it. I may give it a go again and try to be extra careful about form, but I thought I was being careful before.

The weather has cooled off and I think I'm losing some motivation now that I'm all covered up in long pants and sweaters. I need to get back on track though!

Hi susie
i can understand how the life in apratment can be..and not much space to move around in house u can get lazy ,no wonder

burn it up is tough very tough, and i can never understand how ppl graduate slim in 6 ???like on the wowy forum and becahbody forum there are ladies of iron willpower, who very proudly say that they have graduated slim in 6

i will be daym sexy if i am ever able t do the whole workout plan buy the book
i am going to start my slim in 6 next week,i want to look good for my 26th bday:)..but i have noticed one thing that u dont lose much weight on si6 maybe u are adding up muscles in the meantime or retaining water.maybe

well why dont we start si6 all over again, togather,if u have any plans of starting it from the scratch lemme know it will be a great motivation:)

weather isnt cold here not even close..and i am so looking forward for winters since i will be running out side, woohoo!!!

Hi Sadie,
I am thinking of starting SI6 up again and getting back on track.

Have you started it yet? If not when do you plan to start?

Nothing like a birthday to get you motivated!

heeh birhdays and new years are teh great time for resolutions:D,that we hardly keep up with...
hehe
i am planing to start on thursday, what do u think?

That would work for me because the workman is going to finish here today (which is Wednesday) and then I'll have some space back! I will definitely start again with Start It Up because I am feeling soooo lazy I want to ease back in gently. Let's do it!

My butt is already looking less cute because I haven't been doing any lunges etc for a few weeks. That has got to stop!!! :p

Also I will likely be visiting the USA in February, which gives me about three months to get in great shape, and I think three months is the perfect time frame. A visit to see friends and family you haven't seen in a while is always motivation. Slim in 6 will be a good way to get revved up again. I hope!

Thanks Simble!

A'ight, it's 11:30pm and I haven't started exercising again yet-- I'm going to do it right now!!!

Did you do it? I know you can! It is hard to get motivated when you have been taking it easy, I've been there lol!

Hi Missyv--
I couldn't find the Slimin6 DVD so I did a tae bo cardio one instead, so at least I did something! It felt good to get the ol' heartrate up again. I'm going to go through stuff in the livingroom today (everything was moved around because of the work we were having done) and that missing DVD should turn up. I hope. :)

I need to get back on track with my diet. I don't need to lose weight but I want to be sure I'm getting enough vitamins and protein etc. I'd even slipped back into drinking caffeinated tea and I need to quit that (AGAIN!). I felt so good when I was exercising, eating well and not relying on caffeine for a pick-me-up. I'm getting back to that.

I see you're in Pennsylvania, that's where I'm from originally. Are you in the east, west, or center (or elsewhere)?

I can hardly believe it but I exercised today!!!

I did the Burn It Up DVD, it's not as difficult as I remember, maybe because previously I was doing it in the summer when it was hot out (and in). But don't get me wrong it did get my heart rate/breathing up for sure!

good job =]
I read through some of your journal, and you're doing great.
You'll have that athletic body that you want in no time:D
