1/4 squats

question about these .. do they do anything ?? i mean all i hear is parallel or lower .. which is what i have been doing .. but ive been told i have gone too low .. that what i think is 1/4 squat is just a tad above parallel ..

so my question is .. is it bad to do these ?? will i see improvements in leg strength ?

im also doing good mornings as well

Let me answer your question with a question: When you squat on the toilet, is it a 1/4 squat? Chances are its not...its about a 80-90 degree squat (depending on your toilet).

Squatting to parallel and below is favorable because it helps in lengthening tight muscles and improves functionality of the lower body. If you cannot go to parallel, chances are you are sufferening from tight hip flexors, weak hamstrings, and weak core.

When we were toddlers, we squatting form teh ground up and they were ass to grass squats. We tend to lose that mobility/flexibility as we get older.

Agreed. There is a time and a place for quarter squats, but those times are few and far between for increasing strength. The core of all your workouts should consist of full squats.
