buttocks workout

Hey guys, I've been working out for about 2 months and everything is going well, but as a kid, it seems that all my weight when i added it on instead of going to my stomach went to my buttocks. Im 19, weight 186lbs and im pretty lean, but the worst feature of my body is basically my ass. I would like to have a more flat ass if possible, like just solid muscle. I mean my ass isnt huge but its just not as i would like it to be. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how i could tone it up. Right now i run every other day 3 miles to try to burn some of it but nothing is really working out.
 
Well, you can't spot lose fat. That's a known. The takes it from where it pleases, the belly usually being last on men.

In general, reduce your bodyfat and you should lose it on your butt.

Personally, I like the way one woman put it: a nice azz is like cleavage for men.

I find cable pullthroughs give me severe DOMS(soreness) in my glutes.
 
This must be an unusual problem in the US because I see so many Americans with big bellies and flat assed syndrome from inactivity :D. Even I have battled the dreaded flat hind quarters. Get yourself on a total fitness program and your body will shape up all over.
