How regularly should I change excercises

Hi

Could someone tell how long I should go before changing weight-lifting excercises? Also would it be ok to switch them up every other week or would that be too sudden?

I'm currently cutting so the size of my muscles isn't important at the moment but am VERY interested in how regularly you guys switch up your workout routines?

I'm gonna change the excercises I do every 5 weeks... does that sound good?

What do you guys do? do many of you's change your routine like every week, as long as your hitting the right muscles adequately??

I don't have too much exp. with this, but I would just change it up when your body feels like your bored of something. eg. your not sore the next day, stop in weight gain or loss (depending on you). I was thinking around once a month as well, thats just me though, not too much exp.
 
when you platau you can change it to surprise your body, that way sort of kicking it into making gains again.. your body will get used to your routine after a while.
 
Ive spent the last few years changing my workout and have now found what I feel is the perfect workout.

I have no need to change the exercises as all the changes are set into my 6month plan.

If you have a well rounded workout plan there is no need to change, but you'll gain a lot by changing youe set/rep system.

I'll change monthly between 3x10, 5x5 and 10x3
 
I add a lb or so of weight at a time, and have been okay, not too much strain there....

But as far as cardio, when I started doing the bike with more intensity or for a longer amount of time, I started getting knee pain.
