Young and tired

DAY 28

So I have been at this for 4 weeks now. I can officially say that this is the longest that I have ever tried dieting. Today is weigh-in and I have had a very stressful last week. I didn't expect to lose anything because I had 2 days that I ate whatever I wanted. I was surprised when I stepped on my scale an it told me I was 167.8lbs. I lost 1.2 lbs this week. I have less then 4 weeks until I go to my home town for pictures (it was moved to the first weekend in June). I still haven't told my family that I'm on a diet. I want to show up and see if they notice or not.

Weight loss week by week:
Week 1- 5.8lbs
Week 2- 2.2lbs
Week 3- 2lbs
Week 4-1.2lbs
Total - 11.2lbs

You are doing well Rhonda :) Your family may not mention it even if they do notice. Try not to be too taken up by what others say as what you think is much more important. You have lost 11.2lbs in one month & should be very proud of yourself. You are working towards being a healthy Mum, who will be an example to her family & friends. Well done sweetie, xo

So I went shopping for some new pants because my size 14 were getting really loose. I really dread clothes shopping because of my size; I sometimes fear that I have gone up a size. Not this time, I bought two size 12 pants that fit like a glove! I only bought two because I plan on losing more weight and just needed some pants that will fit me for the next few weeks.

Go me!

Going to have my 5 week weigh-in on Monday. I have been doing great and last night I let myself have whatever I want and as much as I want. Even when I was at the hospital for two days and 'slipped' on my diet, that didn't mean I ate all junk food. I mostly had Subway and Chick-fil-a salads; which totaled almost 3000 calories a day which is way over my calorie limit. But last night for one meal I let myself eat unhealthy. I had Twinkies, soda, coffee with cookies, and fried potatoes. This morning I had explosive diarrhea three times, I guess my body wasn't use to all the suger, caffeine, and fat.

That was fun but it's back to my healthy diet.

Your body just gave you a bit of a talking to Rhonda. It wants healthy food please :D

DAY 35 (week 5)

Weigh-in day! So I have been doing pretty well at my diet for the past five weeks. This week I kinda skipped out on the exersice. I need to work on that part better this week. The scale really flattered me this time, 165lbs! That's another 2.8lbs gone. I have less than 3 weeks before I go to my hometown and do family pictures. Since it was pushed up I'm setting my new goal as 160. So I have 5lbs more to lose in 19 days. 14 pounds down and 5 to go.

Week by week:
1) 5.8 lbs
2) 2.2 lbs
3) 2 lbs
4) 1.2 lbs
5) 2.8lbs

I heard ya on the love of cake! That was my biggest challenge as well - sugar. I however decided early on in my weight loss journey that dessert was not something I was willing to give up. I was lucky to stumble across info about whole foods desserts and by switching to natural sugars, I lost over 30 lbs! It seems that natural sugar vs. processed sugar makes a big difference. Some of my favorite healthy dessert recipes were from Kimberly Snyder's book/blog, I highly recommend it. Wishing you the best of luck on your journey!

Week 6

At this point I'm worried my scale is broken. This can't be really happening. Today I have been on my diet for 6 weeks and weigh 163 lbs. I lost 2 more pounds this week for a total of 16 lbs all together. Every week before I step on the scale I think, 'this time I won't lose anything or I might gain a pound.'

Less then 2 weeks left and 3 more pounds until I reach my goal!
