working out, then sleep.

is it bad to get a nice long hour workout, eat a good sized meal, then just basically from pure exhaustion, pass out? cause thats what i did. i worked out pretty hard. i fell asleep about 1.5 hours after working out. it was only asleep for about an hour, just a nap. but just wondering if thats bad? woke up and ate a steak mmmmm, of course with a nice pear  i love fruit.

about a 1/2 hour after a really intense work out i get this feeling of complete exhaustion, not necessarily tired but weak, (i call it 'slow mo', lol) but if you fight it for about another 1/2 hour it goes away until night time..

i don't know quite why this happens, but its reassuring to know im not the only one!

You bring up an interesting point... Sometimes I get sleeply on my 10-mile bike rides at the gym. I'm not tired, not hungry, just feel like taking a nap. A hot shower after my workout fixes that right up (and just in time for my class).

Your body's telling you it's exhausted. You can either have a nap or blast through the feeling. Either's good, though a nap's ideal if time allows. Time for a nap...

Not only is taking a short nap after a hard workout okay, it is recommended by many. A short 30 minute nap directly following a workout will help recover your CNS. Your CNS is recovered during sleep, so following a hard, intense workout would be an optimal time to have a short snooze.
