Working out the abs 7 days a week

I've been working out 7 days a week, one day chest and shoulder, another day biceps and chest, or something like that. However I've been working out my abs 7 days a week, and in this forums I can see so many times that the muscles need to rest for at least one day. So, what am I achieving with working out my abs 7 days a week, do I get the same effect as working them out 3 days a week, or maybe even I get a smaller effect because I don't let the muscles rest?

The abs should not be worked out every day. They're like any muscle group-they need rest. Three days is more than enough. I would also suggest that you take a day or two off from lifting a week.

I also recommend using weights for your crunches and other ad excercises. I've been doing it for the first time the last few weeks and it makes me feel very strong and explosive.

as i've posted before, the ab muscles are very large and can even be worked TWICE a day. my sister used to.

So, because the legs are a large muscle group they can be worked out twice a day, every day?

The core will get worked in many of your compound movements-squat, deadlift, push press, etc. There is no reason to work your abdominals more than three times a week. The abdominals are a muscle group and need, like every muscle group, rest and recovery.
