Why Weight?
The First Step!
Daily we tell ourselves; ”Tomorrow I’m going to start getting this weight off.”
If we want to stop smoking, we get help and tell the world in order to help us stay away from smoking. If we are alcoholics we join a help group to start us on a new life of non-drinking. So if we want to start a Weight Loss Program where do we go? Shall I join a Gym, visit a doctor, find a nutritionist and go to the Health Supplements Store? This is something that most of us overweight are fighting daily.
Change must take place in your;
• LIFESTYLE
• TIME MANAGEMENT
• COMMENTMENT
• GOALS
I am going to take a different perspective on starting my program. I’m starting this blog with a photo of me and will post photos monthly to show progress. I’m going to go out and find information to find the best fit for me and record it in my “Why Weight?” BLOG.
Now some history about me the author of this Blog; I’m first of all overweight and in need of help, mother of four, fashion photographer, event planner and graphic designer. 6 months ago I find myself unemployed after working over 20 years in the Engineering field. After going through depression, social withdraws, sleeping late, watching soaps and loss of time; I found myself looking at putting my life and worth back together again with the help of my husband.
Let’s do it BIG. I have rented the local Convention Center for next April 2 and 3rd in dreams of putting on the first, of many, WEIGHT LOSS EXPO (not to be listed on here) for my area. WOW huh? Where to start? I am doing some basis research and making if reflect in my life.
The basic things to evaluate in WEIGHT LOSS are;
• EATING HEALTHY
• EXERCISE OPTIONS
• MEDICAL OPTIONS
• SUPPLIMENT PRODUCTS
Tomorrow I will find Individuals to join my DREAM.

I did it and you can too! I got up with the goal to find what is in the neighborhood and step out. After my outing, I have a free workout day tomorrow at LA Fitness, a free meal from perfectfitmeals, a Meal replacement smoothie, a 2:1 Protein Bar and an appointment for a Private Introduction Session at Dahn Yoga.
Waiting on my hosting company to get my web site up and running today. I’m very excited about kicking it off soon. It was difficult to pick the color scheme and logo. It’s compared to retiling your floor, you want something that describes across what you want to portray. Thou is might not be until tomorrow for it to be active.
First stop this morning was LA Fitness Center. It is like a block away and I’ve always wanted to see the inside. I don’t have the money to join with a membership but that didn’t stop me from going in. It was massive and I have a free day tomorrow to work out and check out the place. I spoke with Jarrod at LA Fitness and he wanted to hear more about the SW Weight Loss Expo. I asked him what if anyone out there is like me and wanted to go workout without getting a membership. He stated that anyone can come in for $15 a day and workout to use all the facility. It nice to know I could go and workout on a rainy day. I can’t wait until tomorrow.
Next stop; Smoothie Factory and they had all this weight loss posters in the window so I went in. They had a sign for first time drinkers. After sampling the goods I went for a replacement smoothie meal drink. I picked my flavor of fruit and she whipped me up what taste like sherbet ice cream.
Next stop; Sugar Cycles is a bicycle store for physically active people. I can’t imagine myself peddling down a street on a bike in my physical condition more less the pain of a bicycle seat holding up my backend. I did go in and talk to the salesperson. He was helpful and told me that their cheapest bike in the store was $299.99 and they go up in the ten thousands. I guess it’s no different than a photographer buying a $3,000 camera to take amazing photos. What did catch my eye was a two wheel baby stroller for runners to push their kids in. It had a wrap screened in water proof top that would impress anyone.
Last stop was Fred Astaire Dance Studio where I saw this large poster in the window that said, “Get FIT” – Perfectfitmeals. So I went in asking about the poster and classes. Classes are paid with tuition and they gave me a free perfectfitmeal to try. I picked a Steak Wrap that had an expiration date of yesterday, but I took it. The cost of one is $6.75 and has 301 calories. I split the meal with my husband. I didn’t know that these meals existed until today.
Note to self;
• Don’t watch TV; the food ads are killing me.
• Keep water bottle filled.
• Set Alarm to get up early.
Ok I covered some locations on healthy eating, supplements and exercise. Now to post a new blog entry and get a photo shoot with my husband for my blog. I created a facebook account that runs the RSS feed from the blog to FB.
Tomorrow I will find Individuals to join my DREAM on Facebook.
