Why does this happen?

Ok, I'm a 16 year old male and I'm pretty small. I'm 5'4 and I have really skinny arms. I just started working out and I've read that you have to eat alot to gain muscle. The problem with that is that If I eat a lot it all goes to my belly. The weird thing is that towards the end of the day my belly is bigger but when I wake up the next day my belly is flat. This is such a big problem for me that I only eat twice a day and I don't eat big meals. Any suggestions/tips? Thanks!
 
eat several small meals. Dont eat big portions of food.

How many calories are you eating in a day. What foods do you use to get them.
 
your belly getts bigger because there is something inn it, but when you wake up its empty due to the night. i got the same thing, doesnt bother me that much tough.
 
Yes you have to eat more to gain muscle but you cant just eat sweets and chips. you have to eat fruit, veg, carbs and protien.
 
Lets see, A typical day is probably, REDUCED fat wheat thins, some sort of chinese food(Vegetable Lo MEIN, Beef Brocolli, steamed rice with soy sauce, orange juice and choclate milk. Of course this varys. I also limit Fast food to once a week or sometimes just eliminate it.
 
Make a Diary on here in the Diary section and post everything you eat plus the time you eat it. That will help us help you :)
 
The fact that your stomach bulges out when it's full would indicate that your abs aren't very strong. Your abs are what should keep your stomach flat, not the fact that it's empty. Try doing sit-ups or crunchers every night and you should see a quick improvement. The other thing is that it looks like you don't get much protein in your diet, and that's a reason why your abs, (and other muscles in your body), could be weak. You can't build muscle without protein, even the kind of muscle that average people that don't exercise much have. If your diet is deficient, you will be weaker than average.
 
My belly does the same thing and so should everybody elses really.

Sometimes I eat so much in one go that I really feel stuffed.

I find it hard sometimes to get all of my daily intake of food. But I just manage which is the main thing.

My belly still sticks out quite a bit once I have eaten alot. It doesn't really matter about my abs not being that strong as I think they are reasonably strong.

About six months ago when I use to eat more do to training my six pack was showing pritty well.

I was in a night club during that time and I had my top buttons un done for some odd reason and a bloke came over to me another night when I was not showing my chest and he said to me that I have the best six pack in my country.

I probably didn't but that is just him saying that he thinks it is a great six pack.

Unfortunately I have let that slide away a little, but will have to get back on the weights again soon for the summer.

I think what you need to probably do is to train your internal abs some how as I think this holds your belly in more.

I'm not 100% sure though so I could be wrong.
 
95% of what you look like (belly fat) is what your putting into your body. Even if you dont exercise you can be lean by eating less carbs, esp. less fat. Lots of protien.
