which way is better?

when im working my triceps i can either use 1 big weight with both arms (50 pounds) or use 2 weights of half size for each arm (25 pounds each). which is better to use?
 
I would say use the dumbbells, that way you can be sure each arm is lifting the same amount of weight.

yeah i use dumbbells for skullcrushers too, straight bars just hurt my wrist. I would stay stick to dumbbells because you have to work harder to keep your arms stabilized, and each arm is working just as hard as the other because they both are getting 25 pounds of weight.
 
ive never really used bars for skullcrushers too.

another ques. though. when i used 2 dumbbells today i squeezed them together when i did sullcrushers. should i spread them apart?
 
that's what i did, i kept them apart. I had to work a lot harder to keep my arms stable but it really felt like it worked out my triceps a lot.
