Which split is better?

I have no problems building triceps, but my bis are always lacking/lagging. therefore in the past I liked chest+bi, back+tri myself. but on biceps day, I stick to biceps, no forearms. on back day i'll do a few sets of hammer curls, since I tend to use straps for back exercises, my forearms aren't that tired.

also, when are you doing abs?

i dont know, I was planning to do abs on the in between days when I would do cardio but sometimes I'm just too tired to do anything on the off day or I have work, etc...

are abs to be treated like every other muscle group or are they supposed to be worked more often?

lots of dispute on ab frequency. I feel if you get two good ab workouts a week, that should be enough to keep the core strong. You dont' want to over train the abs, especially if you consider how much time they spend flexed, supporting the core on other exercises (squats, deadlifts, bent over rows...really any standing exercise you need to support the torso properly for good form)
I surely wouldn't do abs more than three days a week. could do them on leg days, or before cardio. I say before cardio because its best to weight train prior to cardio...and it also makes sure you don't say "i'm tired from 40 mins of cardio..I'll just skip abs today".

chest and biceps

back and triceps

be sure to give a day of rest between them. this ensures that your biceps and triceps get they're very own day and arent fatigued from benching or rows
