which is best

a quick question someone may be able to help with, due to reasons i wont go into, i had to change my cardio workout today, instead of a 4.5 mile run (which uses up 1000cals) i had to do an uphill power walk instead. now i burnt the same cals, but it obviously took slighlty longer. my question is, which one is better for weight/fat loss, or are the both the same?

calories are calories, both are great and equal.
 
thanks shawnnam, you know how it is, so many people have different ideas on how to lose weight, one of those is that fast walking (lower heart rate) will burn fat better than running (high heart rate), so thought i would ask on here too!

Yeah, I mean 1000 calories is 1000 calories, any way you look at it. After a certain amount of time your body can become catabolic and start using muscle calories, to counteract that just do some weight training to keep muscle mass :)
