Where the heck is my suprailiac

Ok i got my body fat caliper today and im trying to figure it out. According to the direction, its 1 inch above your right hip bone. Well, ive measuerd 3 different areas "about" where its supposed to be and im getting a difference of about 10mm depending on which spot i use.

should the measurement be taken more on the side, or more in the front near my belly button? It makes a huge difference for me. There is a flap of skin that seems to be a lot "easier" to pinch. Is this what im supposed to be pinching. It's times like this i wish i had a doctor around here.

This is why with calipers you really need someone to show you how to properly use them. For simplicity-it should be near center about an inch above your hip bone.

They have pics and an online calculator for your callipers. When you are dealing with millimeters there is a lot of room for error so I take a measurment 3 times then average it.
