When did YOU start noticing a difference?

It's been about 2 months since I started changing my lifestyle. I went from playing video games (damn you EQ and WoW!) for hours each day, eating out pretty much 7 days a week with the hubby and generally being miserable to cooking almost all our meals, walking/jogging 3-4 days a week and starting to think there might actually be a light at the end of this weight-loss tunnel. ^.^

Now I know 2 months is NOTHING in the big scheme of things, but it's a start. I do have a question to ask of you guys though - I've lost 12lbs so far and really, *i* don't see any changes but my hubby swears up and down that he notices me getting smaller. I just wish I could see it too, because VISIBLE results are so important to me to keep me going :(

So...when did you start seeing physical changes, and not just in the form of numbers on a scale??

When I looked down and saw my penis for the first time in like 9 years.

No, but seriously...I first started noticing changes when my shirts started fitting me differently. It wasn't enough to where I could SEE it, but I definitely KNEW it. Then, after about 3 months of working out and losing weight, the first time I actually saw a change was when I had to get a new outfit for my friend's rehearsal dinner. I tried on each piece of the outfit at the stores, but I didn't get to see the whole outfit in it's entirety until I got home. When I got home, I put on the outfit and instantly saw a difference in my body. I was like, "HOLY SHIT...I'm a sexy beast!!!"

Aww, I'm not a sexy beast. You know who is though?

CHRIS JERICHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I started at 220 and I am now down to just under 190. It took me about 3 months, and I didn't notice until a couple pounds ago that I really do look different, though my husband said he noticed about 10 pounds ago.

Someone made a post once about when you first start losing weight your sizes don't change as often as when you get down closer to your goal weight. It doesn't take nearly as much loss in weight drop a size then.

That's good because EQ sucks now :patriot: Turned into WoW clone

But ermm yeah uhh, anyways, take a picture of yourself, then look at it a few months from now and it's easier to see the changes. Part of the problem is also your self image, a lot of us lose the weight but still retain the image of ourselves as fat so even when it is plainly obvious to other people that we've lost significant amount of weights to us we don't see that much of a difference because of how we feel about ourselves.

CHRIS JERICHOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Could you at least attempt to have one post where you are not offensive.

It's painfully obvious you are trying to be funny. Please, enough already.

I have quite a lot of posts that aren't offensive. So, I've already complied to your request before you even made it. Thanks though.

And, no...I'm not going to change. Sorry, but if you don't like my posts, then don't read them. Nobody's making you.

*EDIT

Of aaaaall of the posts I've made that contain "offensive" language/content, you chose THAT one to pick on? HAHAHAHAHA, wow.

Don't try to defend it, it was a piece of garbage like all the rest.

I made a joke about being able to see my penis and then I followed it with an honest answer...what's your problem? If anything is garbage here, it's your sense of humor. Like I said, of aaaaall the posts I've made, you chose THAT one to pick on? Everybody here who knows me knows how ridiculous that is. I've said worse - MUCH worse.

Once again...nobody's making you read my posts.

A comedian does not blame the audience for jokes not landing, he blames the material. Work on your material.

Also, you can refer to your own advice if you wish - nobody's making you read my posts.

I wasn't aware that a joke not landing with you and you alone made it an unfunny one. Is it cold up there on that pedestal? I'm sure the wind's gotta be pretty brisk this time of night.

I read everybody's posts, because I have a sense of humor and I don't feel the need to whine and complain just because someone says the word "PENIS" or makes a few jokes. You either have no sense of humor, you're jealous that you can't make people laugh and feel like lashing out at me because I can or you're an 82 year old, churchgoing grandmother that takes life way too seriously. Either way, no matter who you are...learn to take a joke.

And, like I said before, I have a lot of posts that aren't full of humor. Feel free to actually read some of them before you go making judgments about me or the things I say. I'm willing to bet that there is a shit load of members on this forum that have found a lot of my posts to be very helpful and/or inspirational.

Do I make jokes? Yes. Do I utilize my sense of humor? Yup. Do I say immature things and make a lot of weiner jokes? Absolutely. But, do I never make good points, avoid being serious or refuse to help other members? Nope. Never have and never will.

Don't be so quick to judge, just because you don't have a sense of humor.

Apparently I've struck a nerve.

Anyway, you're not going to make it in stand-up if you can't take a bit of constructive criticism.

See now this is funny, I feel like I'm part of a bit.

So, you can't show me? I thought so. Nice try though.

May I recommend something? The next time you want to try and insult somebody and make claims about them...make sure that you can actually back up your claims with a little bit of proof.
