What's your motivation?

I came to this forum for support and motivation to continue losing weight and begin a exercise routine that I will stick with- I'll be honest, sticking with regular exercise is the hardest part of losing weight for me.

I've been trying to find motivational quotes I can put on a post-it on my mirror so when I read it- I'll be motivated to continue on this journey to better myself.

So my question is- What is your motivation? Is it a particular quote, a feeling you get after you workout or do something healthy, is it knowing if you keep doing what you are doing in a few months from now you will have lost weight and have more self-esteem in return?
What keeps you motivated to continue?
Please share with me so I can find my own motivation to keep me going.

My motivation to lose weight and exercise is looking at the big picture.

I'm looking down the road and seeing a thinner happier me.
I am telling myself that life is too short to be unhappy.

I also look at other ppls progress and it motivates me very much to keep going. Yes its only my 2nd day but I've tried before to do this many times and I failed, I cried a lot and I probably will cry during this new adventure too.

Just kick yourself when you are about to give up and come online, talk to ppl look at before's n after's and just do something to help u back up.

I completely agree with you on this. My main motivation is picturing myself 4 or 6 months from now after I've worked hard to lose weight and am finally seeing the results (hopefully have reached my goal weight). I know I will have much more confidence then and that gives me motivation to get off my butt and work out. Also, I think about what if I decided to commit myself to this journey and set a goal and then gave up after a few weeks- in 6 months from now I will be looking back and thinking "If I had just stuck with it, I'd have reached my goal by now and been so much happier".

My motivation is my family. I think about living for another 10 years or another 60. Every day I have the choice to make my life shorter or longer. When looking at it that way, the choice is easy. It's when the choice isn't so obvious that things get tough. Cheeseburger or jogging. I want the cheeseburger but the jogging will help me live an extra 50 years. I go jogging.
