whats the most important rule while cutting?

whats the most important rule while cutting? whats should you avoid most suagr / fat / carbs? and what should i aim to do most, weights / cardio?
 
Both weights and cardio is a must.

As for me, my body responds very well when I cut out sugars, up my fat intake, and lower my carb intake when cutting.
 
Why do you guys all want to get cut when you are under a buck 60? Lift weights!! Thats the most important rule! I love seeing these guys in the gym that weigh about 150 and have great definition and want to get striated, but can't lift for beans!

The most important rule is this....stay anabolic when practicing catabolic methods.
 
I'd say the most important rule is consistency in your plan. If you diet well all week, then eat a whole pizza on saturday, you just pissed the entire week away.

Where does it say his weight anywhere? I agree with you to be honest, but the only one with his weight up here is LV, and he is nowhere near 160.
