UPDATED EVERY 15th AND 27th WITH NEW PICTURES.

Hey everybody, this is my first post and I don't really know where to start, but here I go..

I have been overweight for quite a long time, I had started to gain weight about 7 years ago, weighing in at about 240 at 15 years old (not sure of my height). My weight gains started when I moved houses as a child multiple times, 5 times in 1 year to be exact.. I actually gave up on making friends, stopped going to school and developed a relationship with my computer. After my parents found out that I had about 180 missed school days one year, my step father gave me the option to move out, or get a job... So I got a job landscaping..

Fast forward 7 years, and I have a beautiful fiance and 2 year old daughter. But I am still overweight.. I have started this journey on Oct.1 2012 after moving to my new house. I told myself enough was enough and I am doing this for real..

My highest weight recorded was about 262 pounds, on Oct.1 2012, however, I weighed in at 245 pounds. That is what I am going to go by. (I am 5 ft 11 by the way)

I really don't know what my goals are, besides a 6 pack of abs. I REALLY want that. My weight can be whatever it is at when I am done, as long as I am happy with the way I look, I'll be good.

Okay.. The way I am doing this, and I have been since Oct.1 is basically ONLY focusing on my diet... I get plenty of exercise at work. I have no idea what my calorie deficit is, I don't pay attention.. all I know is that what I am doing is working, somehow, and I am not complaining. I have completely cut out ALL junk food (chips/soda/juice from concentrate/candy/processed foods) and I now only eat healthy and natural food, and lean meats, fruits and veggies. The only juice I drink is 100% real juice, and I don't even drink much of that. Surprisingly I don't get many cravings, and whenever I do, I tough it out like they are nothing. I don't know, I guess I'm just very committed to this, this time.

I have a taken a few pictures since I started, but only started doing so mid December, so there isn't much so far, however I promise this to myself: I will NOT be disappointed in the end.

This is the only picture I have of myself at a bigger weight.

Hi and welcome! , im a newby here too and loving it so far, every body has been so supportive and nonjudgemental

Keep up the good work :)

I guess I can start this off with what I ate and did for the day. hehe.

Breakfast - 1 Banana, coffee with 3 sugars
Lunch - Turkey Panini on multigrain bread
Dinner - 750 mL of Split pea and ham soup (not cream based)

throughout the day- 2L+ of water as well as a 120 calorie vitamin water, and a zero calorie vitamin water.

Yeah I really only eat that much. under 1500 calories every day for over 3 months.. some days I burn close to 5000. But I really don't care. Whatever it takes, right?

Hi welcome to the forum!!

Basic method for losing weight is a good start.. Keep up your motivations.. good luck :)

Thanks guys! I really can't wait to see what I look like by the summer. I am going to definitely stay motivated!

I started today off with a cup of coffee with 3 sugars (a daily thing for me)
when I got to the work shed we had a gift from some lady on a job site (chocolate chip cookies.. no.. DOUBLE chocolate chip cookies...) ....I had two.. oh well right? I'm allowed some chocolate every once in a while D:
I had a 6 inch sub from subway for lunch (Sweet onion chicken on 9 grain bread (not toasted) - lettuce, pickles, onions, mustard) and a 500 mL bottle of 100% pure apple juice.
I also bought a cup of coffee from Tim horton's with 3 sugars, and I only drank half of it.
For dinner my beautiful fiance made me a chicken breast with lemon pepper, a cup of brown rice, and a whole whack of steamed broccoli (I added about a teaspoon of margarine :S)

as usual I drink lots of water. I don't think I'll eat anything else tonight. Na, I definitely wont.

EDIT: I forgot to mention I have my fiance on board with me in losing weight (she is 4'11 and 185 pounds (started at 198)) she might not yet be as willing as I am to put a diary and pictures on the internet, but she for sure IS trying and I am so happy to have her doing this with me. I just thought I would share that as well :)

good stuff! mmm subway!! yummy
Iv been drinking loads of water too, helps in between meals and stuff (not to mention being super great for my skin, iv already noticed a difference!).
Very cool to have your fiance on board too, it always helps to have a close support person

Hi welcome to thd forum and well done on the weight loss so far!

Cutting out processed stuff is such a good move. Only thing to watch out for is fruit juice in moderation as its quite high cal...

Subway is great (apart from the fact I've cut out bread until I'm able to eat it in moderation!).

Having the support of family is so helpful - keeps you on the straight and narrow.

Good luck with the weight loss and keep coming back to let us know how you get on!

:D thanks again for the support you guys! ..I love subway hehe, maybe a little too much. It might pop up a tad in my diary.

Today was an easy day at work, 9 hours though, nonetheless. Pruned tree's all day long and I could really feel it in my arms, I put in a bit more effort at work now since I know my goal is to lose fat, my boss doesn't complain haha. I make sure to always keep my heart rate elevated and the breathing heavy, I was sweating pretty good throughout my entire day.

I woke up and had my usual cup of coffee with 3 sugars.
I'm not entirely proud of my lunch, but it is what it is. I had a package of instant kimchi noodles.. it was only 520 calories, but still not the healthiest of choices..
I played pool with a co-worker in the clubhouse on the job site we were working on during lunch. There was tea in there - I had a cup of earl grey with 3 sugar cubes.
I'm eating dinner as I speak (type). It's a cup of brown rice with 1 tsp of butter, another "whole whack" of steamed broccoli, and a piece of meatloaf LOADED with veggies (carrots, peppers, celery, onions, garlic) and we used tomato sauce instead of ketchup. The piece of meatloaf was a tad bigger than my palm and about an inch thick.

After I'm done my dinner, I plan on doing the dishes (ALL of them) and cleaning up the mess Lily made in the living room as a surprise to my fiance. She works graveyard so we barely get to see each other, but we really do try to get all the time we can. I love making her happy =)

I also plan on eating around 1-2 cups of purple seedless grapes (YUM) an apple and maybe a banana. Definitely not more than that *hrmph!* lol.

Was just reading through your thread, and wanted to say hi. Sounds like you're doing great! I love Subway too. YUM! Good luck with your weight loss! :)

Okay this is a little earlier than normal. I'm not even home from work yet! But I had to tell somebody.

Okay first things first. I have social anxiety. And it is next to impossible for me to talk to somebody I don't know. I get VERY nervous.. anyways, a woman on today's job site seen me and I swear to god this is what she said.. "you look GOOD! Have you been losing weight?" Oh my god. SUCH a relief. Holy crap that made me feel good. She is an older woman probably around 40, but that doesn't matter. I don't know how to explain, but the fact that a random person who lives on the site noticed.. it just made me very happy :).

Yes, I also concider myself extremely lucky to be in he field I am. If I wasn't I don't know what I would weigh. It's very scary to think about haha. I had a co worker take a couple pictures of me today (randomly) with my phone so I could see how I look to the public eye. Maybe a little weird but he thought it was actually a good idea. I will put one up when I get to my computer. It gives a good representation of the difference in my face so far. And I'm also not topless so we will get to compare pictures of me in clothing.

I will let you all know what I ate today after I am done dinner, it seems easier that way.

Thanks again for all the support!

I hedged all day at work, very good workout. Laid back day though (boss was not stressed) so it went very well.

I had my usual black coffee with 3 sugars this morning.
At lunch I went to a coffee shop and had a tall wet cappuccino, which was 200 calories (it's a friday thing haha).
For my actual lunch I went out to pho (vietnamese noodle soup) it had flank, tendon, and brisket. I added a teaspoon of chilli flake oil, a little bit of sriracha, and some fish sauce. I never drink the leftover liquid. Oh and I added a handful of bean sprouts (mmm)
I had leftover meatloaf for dinner, mixed in with a cup of brown rice and we made some peas to go with it.

So, as for those pictures my co-worker took of me randomly while I was working.. here are a few of them..

I am using these as a visual representation of what I look like fully dressed in public. I don't get to look at myself like this normally, and I plan on taking more pictures like this in the future.

compared to this (from my first post) 240lbs

I also weighed myself today, and I am at 203. I don't plan on taking more side/front topless pictures until Feb 1st so I can see a bigger change. I plan on doing all of those pictures in 2 week intervals.

Thanks :D it totally made my day and gave me a huge confidence boost! that's for sure.
I can't really see any progress in myself, but my fiance says she can and apparently you can too :) I guess I'll have to keep on trucking and I'll eventually notice my weight loss in myself.

I was out walking around at the mall and stuff today, so I wasn't completely sedentary lol.

I had 2 packages of apple and cinnamon oatmeal for breakfast (240 cals)
We were at McDonald's for 2 hours with our daughter because they had actors there (Ronald and grimmace and the hamburglar etc) we didn't eat anything. We waited for the whole thing to be over then had subway haha. I had a subway club on 9 grain (6 inch) with lettuce, pickles, onions, olives, mustard and light mayo. I also had half a blueberry muffin.
I had half of a zero calorie vitamin water.
I had a long day and passed out in bed.. its really late. Too late for dinner, so I guess ill just skip it.... Meh.

EDIT: Ok... so around midnight the walls started shaking, the roof was cracking above me, I could hear terrible roars and screams from every direction. . . . then I woke up, with the most horrible hunger ever! I should have eaten dinner... I had 3 packages of apple & cinnamon oatmeal (360 cals) ..oatmeal is a lifesaver. Filled me right up. haha

I hope everybody is having a fantastic weekend.

Very laid back Sunday. Ahhh.

I had a banana and a tall glass of 2% milk for breakfast. (Yuck! I'm lactose intolerant, I havent had milk in forever, but I figured I could use some)
I was craving pizza so I went to panago and got a chicken fajita pizza on multigrain hand-tossed dough. It had salsa for sauce, red and green peppers, grilled chicken and cheddar cheese. I had 3 slices (190 cals each)
For dinner I had a cup of Brown rice, green beans and 1 and a half chicken breasts with lemon pepper.

Still feeling a little hungry, but that's okay. Mind over matter.

Edit: had a cup of coffee with 3 sugars at midnight
