What should I do?

5'6, 150 pounds... fat...16....

i go to the gym, and do weights with dumbells.... but insteead of getting into shape, i seem to get bigger....

i want to refine my body... not get bigger...

but then again i dont have the will power to run and do cardio =/

what should i do? is holding weights up in different positions good? (ie holding weights with arms straight with shoulders)
 
just my opinoin but i think that you should go on a diet eat alot more fruits and vegies. When you lift weights i also recomend that you do less risistance and more reps that way you can burn fat and get cut. Just my opinion tho :p
 
yeah you cant gain muscle and loose fat at the same time so just eat well and balanced and do lots of cardio with less resistance more reps ... its important to weight train aswell cause even though muscle weighs moree than fat every pound of muscle you put on you loose an extra 50 cal or close a day through normal daily activities .. hope it helps a bit :) good luck catcha l8a
