What muscles do you work out on what days?

I know some people do a full body workout and then take a day or so off.I've been trying to do that but I tend to get antcy in that day or two off though.Ive been hearing that some people work out every day,and they work out different muscle groups on a certain day each week.This gives the other muscle groups time to recover.Im still new to all of this.So if anyone is doing the daily workout of differen muscle groups,could you please post and let me know your weekly plan.Thanks.
 
i do a continuous cycle:

day 1: chest and biceps
day 2: HIIT
day 3: back, traps, and triceps
day 4: HIIT
day 5: legs
day 6: off

then i start again with day 1
 
i mostly concentrate on full body workouts because they're more fun to me. but for a change of pace i'll do splits. now i'm doing quads/calves, chest/shoulders/triceps, hamstrings/back/biceps.

doing the same thing all the time would get old fast. :)
