What is wrong with me?

Trying to help

I can see that you are really in your head with this and dispondent about your yo-yo dieting. I am sorry that things, at least for right now appear difficult. But, what the respondents are saying is correct. How do you eat an elephant? - one bite at a time. Probably not the best analogy for this forum but all the same it is the approach that can help with moving forward when things seem tough.

To break the plateaus...try confusing your body by throwing in some different calorie days. Switch it up by 300-500 calories at a time and your body won't be able to habituate. It is the same reason that exercise programs have to be changed every 3-5 weeks...the body just gets use to the program and becomes efficient at minimalizing it's out put. so you have to change it up.
Confusing the body with different daily calorie amounts helps it to stay metabolizing at an accelerated rate!

Good lUck,

I'll ask this of you that I keep asking of everyone pushing this diet style..

Medical proof please?

LOL. Everyone says that. The bead diet is big in the nyc area. I know a few people that took alot of weight and kept it off. And it's working for me i just need to stick with it.

I wish the calories in, calories out thing was true. The body (at least mine) just doesn't work that way :(

Even robin from the howard stern show is on it. she needed the medical intervention!!

Calories In and Calories Out works. Unless you want to repeal phyics and the Laws of Thermodynamics. We are fat because we eat more than we burn. Sad but true.

TheFitRebel- The problem with the whole deal though is that it's darn near impossible to get an exact fix on just how many calories one is eating vrs burning off.

Couldn't agree more. That's why I have resorted to having trained pro tell me what to do. It takes the guess work out of the eating plan.

Alice J- How do you eat an elephant? - one bite at a time.

LOL. Good analogy, actually. Just b/c I eat one cookie doesn't mean I have to finish the box. Apparently it's called an "all or nothing" personality which could be detrimental to weight loss or any aspect of life.
