What is the best excersize for a quick twist?

Hi

I want to work on the speed of my lacrosse shot. What is the best exercise or the best group of exercises to strengthen the core area with a focus on having the core twist quickly?

I think that for perfecting a motion like that, there's nothing better than actually practising the motion, maybe sometimes with resistance of some form.
But for core strength gains 1) the deadlift and 2) squat, and variations thereof are the best. Others will probably add to the list but that's the perfect starting point in my opinion.
 
Power cleans, power snatches, wood choppers.

Remember the power for your swing, like a swinging a baseball bat, throwing a ball, a karate punch, etc. comes from your hips and legs primarily and only secondarily are your core, torso and arms involved.
 
I have to agree with karky. try using a rubber exercise band. Tie it to a base of some sort and use it to perform explosive core rotational movements. Similar to a standing russian twist.
