What do you think about?

Today I was working with an amount of volume that I'm really not used to at a pace where I tried to do everything with no rest...

Of course I took some rest, and I tried to talk myself up when it got hard...I just kept thinking, "This is where we find out who you really are."

very nice.
i always know that "quitters never win, and winners NEVER quit". tell yourself that when your legs are shaking from squats, and see which of the 2 you are. there is no way in hell im going to lose.

i find that having a driving force behind a workout ALWAYS overpowers the traditional "i dont think of anything" approach...IMO that is

Well let me clarify...I think a lot and I said those motivational things to myself when I was resting and trying to get to my next set. Trying to start, in other words. Once I am doing it though, I think of nothing. It's kind of like being motivated to train for a fight, but when you actually fight you don't think, you just act.

yea, but when things start getting tough, you can either
1)just blank out and feel the pain and be like "oh sh*t this hurts..."
or
2)channel that pain in your own way based on how you motivate yourself. like sometimes i actually feed off the "exaustion" or the "burn" because it gets me in the mood and i know that the more i push(even if im tired as hell) is getting me towards my goal.
