What did you struggle with???

Hi everyone,

I have just joined and want to say thanks to you all for the great information you are all providing on this forum.

I am just about to finish my Cert 4, and are in the process of starting my own PT business.
Can anyone please help with any best practices they used or any mistakes or struggles they have encounter
in doing the same thing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks again to you all and look forward to speaking to you.

I did the same and found that my first clients were relatives and friends, then friends and co workers of friends etc. Word of mouth is the first way to do it. Its best to make sure you learn and gain experience from your first sessions as if you do a group session it can be quite hard the first few times. Try advertising on the internet and notice boards. With new clients try to find out as much as you can about how they want to train. I have lost a few clients from pushing them hard on the first session but I learnt from my mistakes to make sure they can walk the next week but also get their moneys worth.
