What age can use Whey Protein?

Hi everyone, I am a newcomer to gym. I have a little brother - 15 years old and he wants to use Whey Protein in order to help me gain muscle. However, when reading on the Internet, I see many discussions about using Whey at such early age. So what do you think?
 
I'd recommend anyone under 18 to keep to a healthy and balanced diet including body weight exercises and light-weights ONLY. :)
 
@ReturnToFitSabin I agree with everything you said, BUT! I am qualified in adolescent training, and I have studied how, why and when adolescents should be exercising. Teenagers under 18-19 have not yet had their bodies fully develop and there can be some serious damages done from heavy weight training, especially when done incorrectly. THIS is why I said what I said. :)
 
In the beginning only natural foods must be used, when you become expert weight lifter, then you can follow a plan to take whey proteins, by following the advice of licensed nutritionist.
