I'm not a man, but I'll give you my take on it.
I did WW once before, and honestly it's a fairly good program, and it does work for most people, but you usually end up paying for stuff you really shouldn't have to pay for.
They teach you how to eat right, better portions, and the like. It is pretty easy to follow. If you have a giant breakfast, yes, you should probably eat less thru the day. But you can learn all that online or at the library for free.
It is a support system, which is nice, but then, so is this forum, also free.
WW is on a point system, which isn't bad, but personally I feel I've learned more about nutrition and portion control from counting calories then from WW, also free.
I did it a few years ago, and I know the program has changed some, so maybe someone else will have a bit of a better insight. Or if that part has changed.
And no, if your hungry on any "diet" your doing it wrong.
As far as weight loss programs go, it's not bad, but it is still a weight loss program you are paying for (and you can probably find most of the program online for free too, but I'm not sure.)
