Weight Loss Question

Hey, I'm 14 years old and a boy who's about 130 pounds and 5'4.5". I have a bit of a gut and also chubby legs. I've been going on the exercise bike every day for two weeks for about 30 mins to an hour. I haven't really noticed any results yet, but I've also been cautiously watching my weight. Every weekday, I only drink water and milk. I have a sandwich (turkey, roast beef, or pastrami) only eat about half of it, and sometimes a little bit of a CLIF bar. I have cereal for breakfast and for dinner usually just have something small like a piece of chicken or something like that (nothing big). I read that in order to lose weight, you need to lose more carolies than you take in. If I eat about 600-1,000 calories a day, does this mean that I need to burn about 1,200 calories a day. I'm just a bit new to this and also wonder if any one has had success on an exercise bike.

I have also been struggling with my weight ever since I can remember. But the thing is, you should have yourself checked first before engaging to any weight loss activities since you are only 14 years old. When I was your age, I remembered going to the gym to work out but before that, my trainer asked for my medical history. I took a while though since at that time, medical software is not available so information can not be given in just a click.

Anyway, just to be on the safe side, visit your family doctor first to have yourself assessed on what program is the safest for you, age wise. Good luck!

Check out the attachment I'm sending you with this post. It clearly shows how much a person of your age should eat. Don't forget to give priority to physical exercise. Regular workout makes you healthier and stronger and look smarter. :hurray:

Have a healthy life!

Starting walk daily 2 KM then you can increase up to 4 km..
Less eat
Drink one glass of water when you wake up
Early to bed
Must walk 40 (Forty) steps after taking breakfast , lunch , dinner

You have the right idea, take everyone's posts into consideration. My tip is, as a 14 year old, don't make your life revolve around your weight.
