You can always try XENICAL It isn't an appetite suppressant but works in your digestive system to block about one-third of the fat in the food you eat from being digested.

Go to Xenical.com

People will also end up calling you "Mrs. Exxon Valdez" if you take this pill. Ick!

Screw wasting your money on pills. Put that money towards healthy food or a gym membership.

Hmmm... let's see.... Xenical, Alli, and Orlistat are talked about big time on this site. The side effects are atrocious really, but if you're willing to deal with that, then all you. I'm not a big fan of "oily stool spots in my underwear" or the idea of having to bring an extra pair of undies in my purse when I go out to eat. It takes the fun out of eating.

Yeah my doctor talked to me about Xenical......I knew I didn't want to use it, but she did say that if you take a fiber supplement it will stop the "side effects" of the pill. I chose not to take Xenical because it wouldn't really be teaching you anything about the way you eat since the point of it is you can still eat the fatty stuff but magically lose weight because the fat isn't absorbed. As SOON as someone stops taking the pill, they will gain the weight back because they did not learn to watch what they eat.

weight loss pills

I have gone in and out of these forums in order to gain support and to hear what other people are going through, it all really makes me feel better. However, I notice that when someone asks a question about reccomendations for diet aides/pills they seldom ever get a straight answer. Most people are only willing to bash them for even inquiring about them. I am pretty sure that those who ask about diet pills already know that anything they take must accompany a healthy low sugar diet and plenty of exercise and water. If you are not following some time of regimine these pills will not work anyway. As someone who was never regulated in my diet in the past and kind of chubby in high school, (I was 5'2 and fluctuated around 135, up and down), I felt that I was just not meant to be thin. However when I realized that cutting down my sugars, not necessarily eliminating them all together, i.e. no regular soda, knowing that bake potatoes are not really healthy they are just starchy roots with mix ins...etc. The weight began to fall off.

However I would get really intense cravings, for sweets, stress eating etc., diet pills helped me keep that under control and stick to a regimine. I used to take a pill called extreme power plus, now discontinued because of the ma huang, and that really had no adverse effects for me, and I was able to maintain the weight I had lost and cut the cravings. When they got rid of it I was sad, but I did not gain the weight back. Any how for a serious reccomendation for diet pills, I currently reccomend ALRI's Venom. It is ephedra free and in my opinion, incredible at cutting cravings. Way Way better then ephedra ever was. If you have a low tolerance for caffine or that sort of thing, dont take it, but in my opinion, it is amazing.

I wish people would regard questions about pills seriously instead of getting all high and mighty about it. Not every one has will strong will power and they would do better to get a real opinion because they are probably going to try a pill regardless of what you say. most of the over the counter ones are not really unhealthy, they are not really anything as a matter of fact. You would be better off with a cup of coffee. for help with cravings Venom hyperdrive 3.0 is the way to go.

I agree

You are so right about how horrible cravings are, most people dont know how it feels to suffer through them. I think that with supervision you are starting off right, some people just need some help. I think its hilarious how some people will nay say everything without even knowing, you hear stories like "Low Carb/Atkins? oh I had a cousin who did that, and she had to go to the hospital," or "I know a girl who tried dexatrim/atkins, and she died." its all very laughable.

I have a confession to make.....I started taking Phentermine yesterday. I know that I CAN do it without it, but since I got back from travelling, it just feels like it takes so much more to fill me up.....and my cravings for certain foods are CRAZY. So, I asked my doctor what sorts of things are available now and she explained the 3 big options and the expectations and side effects of each. I ended up deciding to try Phentermine, and I have to say that I am impressed. While some would consider it cheating, I consider getting myself back on the starting line....rather than being 100 yards behind. However, I would not recommend Phentermine for a lot of people. You have to have normal blood pressure and heart rate, and be carefully monitored by your physician. Also, it can become addictive, so you are only supposed to take it for 3 months, which I fully plan to do. For me it has given me a little bit of the confidence back that I used to have when losing weight. It feels absolutely HORRIBLE to constantly be hungry or craving sweets. By using Phentermine, I am able to shrink my stomach down without going through the torture, and get off sweets and get a good regimen going for my eating. I have only eaten healthy foods the last 2 days....whole grains, yogurt, fruit, lean meats, lean cheeses, etc....and I don't feel deprived. I feel like I am getting myself back on track.....just with a little help.

I'm sorry if this offends anyone, and its not meant to be an advertisement for any sort of weight loss pill. I think they are dangerous, especially if taken without the supervision of a doctor. But, for me, the risk and the slight feeling of "cheating" is nothing compared to my desire to be back on the right track to being healthy and confident.

I agree completely! from experience I tried everything then I watched my best friend who was over 300 lbs go to the doctor and he set her up on a eating plan and gave her meds to loose weight and she started to melt the fat away It really inspired me she never excercises and she just watches what she eats and I thought If she can do it so can I ! So I went to another docotr and got set up on a similar plan at the first of December and have now gone from a size 18+ to a size 14 from 220lbs to 185 I had tried other diets & excercise in the past and just did not seem to lose any weight I is so great to go to the doctor every week and see that all the hrs at the gym and the Lifestyle change has actually worked and I truely believe that with out the Diet Pills that I am taking I would have gotten discouraged and quit by now and not lost anything. No, I do not plan to stay on these pills forever and yes I WILL keep the weight off I just needed and still need a little shove every now and then ok off my soap box

diet pills

Smetimes it is really difficult to stick to a certain dieting program; especially on public holidays and on weekends. I have never tried any kind of diet pill because I don't know if they really keep the promise to lose weight. For example the redusyn. Does anyone know this product? Does it work?

Never heard of it but i would tell you dont use diet pills. I tried useing hydroxicut before and i felt sick and i weight more than before when i stoped useing them. The only way to lose weight and keep it off is a life change diets dont work. You have to change your eating habits forever or the weight will come back.

you are pregnant - are you out of your mind even considering taking a diet pill?

DIET Pills do not work - the pill will tell you that it works in conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise.

Hi Jane, yes I have heard of it, one of the gals I work with is using it, she just started, she is also watching what she is eating, no diet, just being carefull what she eats, seems to be working. if it does her good I will give it a try, will let you know.

Yes I know and I won't take it now. Of course not. But especially after the pregnancy I want to get rid of the fat as soon as possible. And I really want to think carefully about the issue of taking diet pills or not. And so I thought that I could already try to find some information.

So what does she think about the product. Does she like it so far? It would be great to hear about her proceedings with redusyn!

weight loss pills

i currently starting using a weight loss pill called Hydroxycut. I exercise about 45 mins daily of cardio and lift weights for about an hour. The thing about this, is i feel really bloated. Has any one taken these pills before to know any side affects of it? Or experience bloating....its an odd situation. I thought the pills were supposed to make me feel unfat, but i just feel fatter

Yes Jane1975, I will keep in touch with the gal at work, she has done pretty good with losing weight with the Redusyn, and she told me she feels better than before, has more go-power, doesn't miss eating, she just eats her normal meals 3 times a day, and that is it, no cooking extra diet stuff (YUCK) . Will keep you posted OK!!!!

Well Jane I think I am gonna give Redusyn a try, my fellow worker is doing so good with it and doesn't feel bloated like Krystic is, she said that she hasen't felt any side effects what so ever, only good things, like more energy and not very hungry. It sounds really like the perfect helper!!!!!

hi angelshoes

have you already tried redusyn? sounds kinda interesting - I do want to loose weight as well, but don´t have enough time to work out or cook a decent low fat meal every day. sigh, work just demands too much of me. but the summer is coming and I want to look at least a bit more slim by then.

so, I would very much appreciate, if you could give me feedback, about how it went with redusyn. thanks ;)

A pill will not help you if you aren't going to commit to the basics...

That sounds great. Did she say anything about negative effects? Probably not because you mentioned that she felt better and had more power. So how long has she been taking the product? And did she say that the would also recommend it to others like us? Well or have you already ordered it? :)
