Weight loss pills?

Has anyone ever had an allergic reaction to diet pills?

So after 3 months of hard core and consistant exercise with "sensible" eating, I' lost 2 lbs, dang it. So on a whim, I bought a bottle of Xenadrine EFX while I was in Target. I lost a lb. in a few days, but one of my eyes swelled shut one mornng and my throat and ears itched like mad. I thought I was having a random allergic reaction to something but didn't connect it to the pills though I stopped taking them for about a week because I didn't want to aggrivate anything. A week later, I started again, and that afternoon, at work, no less, BOTH eyes swelled up and became itchy and my throat itched as well. I stiopped the plills and all is well.

I don't know if it was the pills or something else, but I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience. I never saw allergies as a side effect, and I'm not allergic to anything I know about (I got random hives once about 8 years ago, that's about it).

hi it certainly seems like an allergic reaction. i guess someone can be allergic to virtually anything if you see what i mean.i had a patient once who was allergic to paracetamol - which id never heard of before. you did the right thing in stopping it, could have quite serious consequences.
allergies can start out of the blue. more people seem to be developing them. id make a note of whats in these pills for future reference. maybe worth mentioning it to your doctor as well. slim

hydroxycut will make you gain your weight back after you stop using it (personal experience). I am taking 2-Day Slimming Formula. It is from Japan and is all natural. The only thing is that you have to get it from a distributor because it is not sold in stores. So far me entire family has had great success with it. I am still losing though. However my older sister whom is 31 took it for 3 months and has now met her ideal weight of 110lbs and has been off of it for a month now and has not gained any weight back.

let me know if you have any questions on it.

I tried Lipo-6 for 3 days. Each night, I was up until 3-4:00am the next morning with insomnia. I was shaky, nervous, my heart rate felt fast and stressed, and I couldn't sleep. I said forget this and filed the bottle away.

If anyone wants them, PM me and I'll be glad to send you the rest of them (around a 20-25 day supply). Just pay shipping and a tip for the trouble.

Why are you poisoning this board with posts such as these??

There's NO supplement of ANY kind, that will INCREASE your muscle mass!! Only thing that can increase muscle mass is resistance training and surplus in calories! There's also NO diet pill out there that can reduce fat! And how can they state that this pill will help you KEEP fat off? The only thing that is plausible in that advertisement is that it might or might not promote hunger supression, even that is controversial.

I'd stay away from any diet pill that promises the following but not limited to:

- Fast weight loss
- Increases your mucle mass
- Burns fat
- Big loss, short time
- No exercise needed
- Eat what you want

You DONT need pills to get slim! If you notice, all of the people on the "Before, After" forum that have lost weight, haven't reported even once, using a diet pill! Why? Cause they dont work! Every single person on this forum that have posted pictures with significant weight loss have done it without these "Who-knows-whats-in-them" pills. Have patience, be committed.

I've tryed every diet pill there probably is and that hoodia stuff is the only thing that helped me out. But I took the newer version not the pill ones it's much better I rekon only recently been brought out it's called hoodia chaser difference is it's a liquid one you can put in any your drink and it's said to be like 9x more effective (not sure if thats true but I seemed to be better with the newer one any way) so if you want a good appetite suppresant, thats a good one (I love the stuff stops me raiding that dam cupboard :) there's a nice video on youtube though if your all curious in what it does if anything

rather intresting, but it does the trick for not bein so hungry, I find

PS: My FIRST POST WAHAYYY! :jump:

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade, but diet pills won't do shite for you. Well other than make you poor, if you keep purchasing those damn things. To each their own, but you're better off just eating a balanced diet and exercising. Nuff said.

hmmm well if you have a bad appetite problem and you have strong cravings then a little help in a pill or else is great sure after a while you have to stop using them but it just makes getting fit 10x more easier since your not craving food, but the pill were you actually get side effects on ie other than hoodia is just not worth it, hoodia got no side effects and it's my personal god send lost 3 stone with it :D

here's the video link if any new comers are not sure what i'm talkin bout ;)

Hi Sparkler,

I am sure, despite the sheer amount of weight pill products out there, that there exist some pills that actually might help you loose some weight.

Yet in my mind most of these pills start at the wrong point: trying to eliminate something which is already there.

I think it is much more effective if you start at a much earlier point: treating your inner terrain, your internal environment, to prevent fat cells from forming.

You can do that with an Alkaline Diet, by eating as much alkalizing and alkaline forming foods as possible, such as fresh vegetables, greens and grasses (excellent anti-yeast and anti-fungal).

Green grasses such as barley or wheat grass are some of the lowest-calorie, lowest-sugar and most nutrient-rich foods on earth, and contain high amounts of fiber.

By alkalizing your cell system, you reach pH balance and the acidic environment is eliminated. In this way your body doesn't need to create fat cells to protect vital organs from acidic elements. That means no more fat cells will be produced.

I wish you Good Luck,

Take Care,
Mel

hmmm yea i agree but what about the redline pills or drinks, I mean they are meant to be fat burners but quite a few people use them when they need energy boosts. If you do decide to try a redline just get the drink first and read the label. Just a heads up the crash is pretty strong and it also gives you cold sweats then it heats u up for a while, funny thing is it says it on the bottle

I was using a product called Rapid Cut but Allmax. I have to say it worked amazing and kept me motivated and provided me with tons of energy to work out. However I went to the doctors because I was passing out and he told me to stop taking these pills immediately as among other things my RESTING heart rate was 130 beats/min after taking the regular dose.

The dangers and side effects of these pills are not worth the results!!!

I was able to lose a tad over 100lbs (over the course of a year) without any supplements (simple reduced calorie diet & exercise). As I got lighter, progress really began to slow down for weeks. I began taking Hoodia (Trimspa) along with Ephedrine. Which really took away the appetite & is helping breaking my plateau.

weight loss pills

Hey guys
I have been reading a lot about weight loss pills on the net which are being classified into fat burners and fat binders.
I think fat binders are a better option than fat burners
Read something interesting on on this topic.

TE=Sparkler88;252698]Just wondering if anyone knows of any diet pills out there that can really help speed up the weight loss process? I've been taking Hydroxycut for about 2-3 weeks now, and even though I can tell a tiny difference, my boyfriend said that it's not working fast enough. So is there anything out there that can give you some fast results? I've heard that pills with Hoodia in it work good, but I've never actually talked with anyone who's used it before. Any advice? Thanks :)[/QUOTE]

She used to go to toilet once a day but since she has started using this medicine; approx 4 times she goes to the toilet. She used to do exercises too as well as . She told me that she used Ayur slim capsules…..i have red a lot about it on page; but still I’m not sure if I should use it? Is there anyone here who uses capsules?

If you read around the forum, you will see that we are pretty against the use of pills to aid in weight l oss... If you read the instructions on most of the pills, you will see that it clearly states that the pill is effective in conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise plan.. Well guess what -if you have a sensible diet and exercise plan, you don't need the pills.. put the money you'd spend towards those pills and save it for a killer new wardrobe.

and read the stickied threads i the forum - you'll get lots of valuable advice...

Diet Pills

I know that there is quite a difference of opinion on wheither or not diet pills are okay to take.

Is there any that have worked for anyone ??
Here are two I have recently heard of
Orovo
Allie

Does anyone know anything about them ??

TS

Search the forum - and you'll find a thread on Alli...

Searcht he forum again - and you will find NO difference of opinion here.. PILLS ARE NOT OK...

but - ANY diet pill you take will tell you in the fine print that they work in conjunction with a sensible diet and exercise./. GUESS WHAT? it's hte sensible diet and exercise that take the weight off,.. NOT the pill.

Don't waste your money....

An old coworker... really a coworker not me.. took "pills" as a way of weight loss and boy did she get skinny. However, she told me her body would shake all the time and it made her feel very ill. Beats me... but I would suggest not to take them.
